I’ll go out on that limb and say if he comes back with a full offseason of strength and conditioning instead of rehabbing he will be the dominant force everyone thought he would be. He is just now starting to get his legs back and just the mental hurdle of trusting your knee is an even bigger factor. Hoping he decides to return. Our Dline will be better if he does.

I think he goes pro. I’m tired of seeing that dude talk mountains of shite on the field after not doing anything to back it up.

Though I want him back because we need the bodies and I too think he’ll improve.

Missouri
He was a big nothing again yesterday.
there will have to be a huge change in his attitude and desire to play pro football.
What a disappointment he has been for LSU.

If he goes pro highly doubtful he gets drafted. If he does it’ll be because a team took a shot on him in the 6th round to just cut him in camp.

Would be a very dumb financial decision on his part

No, he never will. We thought he would be impactful, like Dallas Turner. That is not in the cards. He played very well the second half of this year, though. And if he comes back he will be very good, but he will not live up to the lofty expectations this board held for him.

If his team around him is smart ,they would tell him to come back and improve his draft stock.

Or he'll probably go third round if he puts in a good combine

Smith was blown past the LBs by every lineman with a pulse. He isn't getting drafted this season. He probably has the most to gain by coming back than any other tiger. If he gets his strength and quickness back, he has first round potential.

What? He had a great game yesterday. I had to check the date of your post, because you could not have been talking about the A&M game - but you were.

To whom exactly?
As an UDFA? That's his only path to the league without another year to prove it.

He’ll be back. I don’t think many people realize how long it takes to get your game back to 100% after sitting out and rehabbing for that long!! He’ll be way better next year. He did pretty good the 2nd half of the year even with all the double teams! High hopes for Smith next year.

If he goes pro then I think best case scenario he goes as an undrafted free agent. He didn’t do anything this year to get drafted.

22 tackles
3.5 TFL
1.5 sacks

If he wasn’t a top 5 recruit coming out of high school he wouldn’t even get drafted

When you rush 3 most of the game how do you expect the defensive line to look good ! Not a smith guy but we rush 3 and play 15 yards off on the back end

He will definitely go pro. Whether he's acceptably projected or not.
