We’d get killed by Gonzaga especially with the way we played today.

We need to go against a team that we can run on. Virginia is not a good matchup. Anyone else would be ideal

I’d take it too, but Lunardi has a terrible track record at being correct. I don’t know why he’s a consultant for anyone, even ESPN.

This website has been keeping stats on bracketologists for years.
Check it out,. Their rankings are interesting:

Lunardi is ranked 68th. Some totally no-name amateur part time dudes are far better

Why have we been in the West in most brackets

Because the seeding tries to follow a S Curve. That means the teams are ranked 1-68. The No 1 overall seed theoretically plays the “weakest” No. 2 seed. Then in the same bracket you have the best #3, worst #4 and so on and so on. It’s doesn’t always follow the S curve exactly, but that is the goal.

LSU has been out West because many may have felt Gonzaga was the best #1 and LSU was the worst #2. Now, I suspect with his latest bracket Lunardi has GU as the second best #1 and LSU as his second best #3.

The geographic aspect primarily only applies to the #1 seeds.

The only thing that I don't like about the Western Regions is the propensity to have LSU play at higher elevations like Salt Lake City or Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As a 3 they would open up in Jacksonville (not a high elevation city) and if they make the Sweet Sixteen they'll be in Anaheim, only a slight elevation above sea level. No Alburquerque, Denver or Boise this tournament for the Tigers.

Let’s go. Not sure we could do any better. Although, I would not put anything past the NCAA at this point.

TigerChief-Tell me again how many points did St. Mary beat Gonzaga by? You remember, that same St. Mary team that LSU beat.I do think LSU would beat Gonzaga by 7-10 points. LSU is a bad matchup for Gonzaga.

Replace Gonzaga with Nevada or TN and I’ll agree

I'm just looking at stats as I haven't seen Gonzaga play this year

I've seen them a few times.
Hachimura is first round.
I saw a bit of the Saint Mary takedown.
I saw some of today v. Florida.
Imho
Neither lsu nor Gonzaga are anything to write home about.

People are posting About final four. Lsu will be lucky indeed to get to round of 16. Lsu best player is teeny guard. Reid a work in progress. 40 teams in the tournament will have that much.
They don't impress me.
I'm getting old. My mind compares to teams of yore with seniors who can run plays.

TeamLSU- Gonzaga beat Saint Mary’s by 48 and 15 points earlier this year the just had a bad game this last Tuesday. They would absolutely beat the living shite out of LSU. You need to do your research before you type something.

, Gonzaga is one of the 3 best teams in the country bro.

Also the best matchup for LSU of any of the 1 seeds. NC and Virginia are really bad matchups.

If we are going to play the transitive property game, then there is no way LSU would lose since they beat, without thier All SEC guard, a Tenn. team who Gonzaga couldn’t beat.

No one has “beat the shite” out of LSU this year.

But we don’t have a coach. Keep your head in the sand. This team right now is leaderless.
