Playing Winthrop in the first round, facing the winner of Butler-Furman. The 1 seed is Baylor and the 2 is Dayton. What a weird year in college basketball.

I wish bracketologists would just give us a seed list rather than brackets as to not confuse people into putting any weight into who they play.

Currently LSU is somewhere between a 3 seed and a 7 seed. A 5 seed is the average but we are trending in the right direction for sure.

Same, no point in even trying to put together brackets until the conference tourneys

Man I hope we end up in the south bracket. LSU fans might out number the 1 seed if we get to the 16/8 in Houston

Hopefully LSU can stay away from the cursed number five seed.

I agree entirely that either the projected seed or a range of seeds would be all that is needed now. There is a lot of basketball to be played, and things will change much before March. Trying to project who we will play, and where a team plays so far in advance is just stupid.

This team has 12 over 5 upset written all over it, unfortunately

where do y'all think our ceiling is?
Is a 2 seed possible? We really don't have any big time wins, although that can change with Auburn and Kentucky, and maybe Florida.
I think if we can win 2 of those 3, assuming UF stays up in the rankings since it will be a road win, then we can maybe get to the 2 seed if we win the SECT too.
I think we are likely looking at a 3-5 spot depending on how many quality wins we can get before the tourney. That is one area of our resume that doesn't look good. We've got a lot of good teams on our resume, just no great ones, but that can change.

Yeah the SEC just isn’t good enough so I’d say that is the limit. Probably more likely a 3 or 4 if we win the title and SEC tourney. 4 or 5 if we split (win the title or the tourney) and a 6 or worse if we miss on both.

That Dayton team is as polished a team as I've seen this year..... and might break the NCAA shooting record. Very good also on defense.

I think we are 5 seed right now, I had to bet.

It will be pretty critical to get that seed line bump to 4. The difference between playing a 12 seed and 13 seed is the most significant IMO. You're likely talking about playing a battle-tested power 5 team like Michigan, Purdue, or Oklahoma vs playing an auto-bid like Hofstra, LA Tech, or New Mexico State.

I honestly see us finishing out the SEC schedule strong with only 1 loss which would win the SEC for us and then showing well in the conference tourney. Imo that would be more than enough to score a 3 seed
