Dude. He accepted a plea. He stood in court and yes I did it.
That’s not good enough for you?

He should transfer to LSU and get a fresh start. Instant weekend starter

I have taken responsibility for my conduct when I was a teenager. As a 16 year old, I was placed on juvenile court probation and ordered to participate in an individual counseling program. I'm grateful for the counseling I received, and since then, I realized that the only way forward was to work each day on becoming the best person, community member and student I can possibly be. I understand that many people now see me differently, but I hope that I can eventually be judged for the person I am today.
That was his statement when the story broke last year. Tell me where he maintained his innocence to you.

Good thing he's not a Tiger! Then all this high and mightyness would really get in the way.
Kid was 15-16. He admitted and took a deal to lesson the impact on his life. There is some real question if he even did it. And by all accounts he's done what's been asked of him.
But good thing he's not a Tiger and plays for a rival team! Then we can forget all that and vilify the kid. Hell, we should just stone him. No point in even letting him live now.

I don’t know about y’all but if someone wrongfully accused me of diddling my 6 year old niece, I would go ballistic. No fricking way I’m admitting I did that to anyone. They can put me in jail but those words are never coming out of my mouth. I don’t give a shite what a lawyer says. His parents are crazy for letting that happen (if he is innocent, but I don’t think we have heard all of the details)

So you are in favor of finger banging 6 year olds?

The people posting in that thread for the most part are effed the head. One guy stated karma is a bitch and he got negative responses. OSU fans appear to be The worst.

Yep! EXACTLY what I said.
I'm glad you're an Illinois fan. Lets me fool myself into thinking the reading comprehension is better at LSU.

He took the plea deal at the advice of his lawyer the day before the girl was to take the stand.
Please tell me that with ZERO physical evidence he was going to convince the jury he was innocent after hearing a 6yr old’s testimony.
It was jail (detention center) or plea deal.
The only evidence in the entire case was her word.
I’m sorry but I don’t trust people enough to believe the ex wife and all that drama didnt somehow play a part. And I definitely don’t trust the judicial system.
So to me there’s plenty of questions still unanswered.
Not sure how anyone can find him guilty without a reasonable doubt without any evidence.
FWIW I’m leaning towards he did it, that’s my gut feeling, but I believe in seeing the facts before I judge. That’s just me. Innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.
Don’t agree, oh well, prove he did it. I can’t prove he did or didn’t.

Agreed. Feel the same about all child molesters

That’s not how our justice system works.
If you say you did it, you don’t get a do over.
He has shown zero remorse and despite the plea now maintains his innocence.
MLB is all about winning and money. If they thought they could sell this kid’s story they would’ve taken a shot.
He wasn’t believable or sellable to them.

Pretty damning that a 6 year old would get up in front of a bunch of people and point out the person that sexually abused her. And I’m sure his brother asked the girl many, MANY times and seriously questioned her story before letting her do that to his brother.
I still wouldn’t admit to it. frick that lawyer. No way I would EVER admit I sexually abused a family member if I was 100% innocent.

He admitted to doing it before we could see the facts. That’s pretty telling.

As long as you’re living you get a do over. You’re definitely no one’s judge. You can have an opinion and that’s about it.
Like a said show me the evidence that proves he did it and warrants your strong opinion.
Like I said I can’t prove he didn’t do it, but I know there isn’t any evidence and why he took the plea.
I’m also not saying I agree with the plea, I don’t know what I would do, never been in that position, also never had a woman accuse me of molesting her daughter.

Court records previously obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive show Heimlich, when asked to state in his own words what he did that makes him guilty of the crime, wrote: "I admit that I had sexual contact" with the family member.
No way in HELL would I write those words if I were innocent

I wouldn’t either. I’m going to jail, frick that. BUT, you’re in jail for it so it follows you either way. But I’m with you, I’m never admitting to anything I didn’t do.

For all of you idiots trying to make excuses for this POS, why don't you and the wife (husband maybe) go take a long Summer trip overseas, but you must leave your 4 year old daughter with him to take care of her. You should have no problem with that whatsoever right? You trust him don't you?

NO. WAY. IN. HELL
FRICK THAT
If you were innocent why wouldn’t you want to hear the girls testimony? Try to find holes in the story or inconsistencies? If I was 100% innocent I would take my chances with that.
I think his lawyer was given the evidence and it was pretty damning
