did you hear him in the presser? he struggles with English. doesn't mean he can't lead i just dont see him as a voice of the team type leader

he was in the press conference after the game Monday night. I could understand him but he was pretty limited in his answers based on his English vocabulary being limited.. cano from little rock was the same way. its not a bad thing or a criticism I just dont think he would be super comfortable speaking for the team that's pretty much all white kids

they both have accents but neither came across as struggling to find words or speak the language.

It would really help this team if he stays hot hitting.

Dude has been great this year. Done what he was suppose to do. Play solid catcher and hit 10+ bombs.

Rock solid behind the plate and real pop at the bottom of the order.

Am I the only one that loves that swing? I know not text book but it works. Like a caveman playing baseball, "me hit ball now hard". Love it.

Evans and Frey got magic moments, deservedly so. I felt sorry for Hernandez.

He was probably thinking, "Damn, I smashed two bombs, and no magic moment?"

Hernandez may be slightly shy in social situations but he is loud as hell when he steps,up to the plate and that is,what team need. Very proud of this young man.

Well if it was far inside, couldn’t you just ‘take’ it?

Everything you said in that post goes against what I consider to be basic baseball knowledge

Got the most compact swing I've seen.....

He and Cano for LR both keep their hands close to their chest. Good swings. Powerful and compact.

pulling the ball and hitting it 380 feet on an inside pitch is probably the hardest thing to do for a hitter

I was at best an average HS hitter, and I could turn on an inside pitch and pull it with no problem

I'm not a power hitter, so I wasn't hitting it 380', but pulling inside pitches is about the most natural thing for any hitter to do.

In the Yeskie interview posted in another thread, he mentions LSU is Hernandez’s dream school, all the way from Puerto Rico. Congrats to that baw.

I had a hard time with it when its an inside pitch that's borderline. when I say have a hard time ,im talking about being able to hit the ball really hard when I had to get my hands in really close to my body. I wasn't a college player though lol.

It was always harder to pick up on which pitch was on the inside corner and which was a ball

I mean, its not a lie, I listened to the presser and couldn't understand him clearly.

that's more of an opinion than a fact though.

im not lying its just my opinion
