Huh? You knew LSU was only going to do 1 ticket per student, and ticket prices had doubled in 4 years.

Like it is EVERY year with a few exceptions.

Yes, but every other year you would only lose 5 points for missing the game, but then others like this year you lose 20 points

Im just saying 108 is a good number because it is all 5 games not including arkansas, but 8 points is one away game plus 2 other 2 point events, two away games, or four 2 point events...that is still some effort put forth for students who missed a home game

Here is my beef with the whole thing (as a disclaimer, I'm no longer a student):

They cut into the allotment above what the BCS allots for students to attend the game (1000 tickets for students became 2000).

To me, they should have cut off how far they dug into that allotment after everyone who attended all the HOME games got tickets. If you can't make the HOME games, you don't deserve to get to watch the tigers play for the national championship IN PERSON. Sorry, just my opinion. I think it's reasonable to make a point floor at 120 (the amount of points you'd have for attending all the home game).

It's ridiculous to me to think that people who didn't go to all the home games are going to get to see LSU play in the national championship.

Give the tickets to LSU Law or Medical School students who attended most of the home games and that had to travel. Give them to people who pay for season tickets through TAF. Start giving two to the students with the highest number of priority points after the 120+ point people get tickets. Light them on fire. Just don't give them to people who don't find it important enough to see the number 1 team in the country play at home.

I, as an LSU professional school student, am not eligible to receive student tickets; however, if I could receive priority points, I'd have enough for a ticket based on the number of home and away games I attended (having to travel hours to everything). Absolute insanity.

The people who didn't attend the home games are going to be the people just salivating at the idea of being able to scalp their ticket.

Just my two cents.

They (roughly) kept the same student/non student allocation as Tiger Stadium.

That makes sense, but its hard to punish people for not making the Arkansas game. A lot of people from out of town go home, some people are out of town with their families, etc.

Ya missing a home game and swiping in and out at 4 designated soccer/gymnastics/volleyball games is sure enough effort to deserve BCS Championship tickets.

I have no problem giving tickets to all the students who attended all the home games or who have the equivalent amount of points (120), as students should be the priority.

However, that priority comes with the assumption that you're going to go to all the home games, including shitty teams (NWST/WKU), shitty start times (UK), and 1v3 day after Thanksgiving games (Arkansas).

That is not unreasonable.

I got lower level and went to every home game and one away game. I do not know why people are mad and want lsu to take tickets away from students who did not go to all games. Should they take away Jordan Jefferson's ability to go to the game since he missed some games?

108 points aint shite.

20 points for a home game and 5 for an away game is a joke. That's frickin stupid.

There's plenty to be annoyed about

Yea but the students should get a chance to go to the game. If you attended LSU then you had your chance to go to the games. Its the student's chance now, and they are only taking up a small portion of the tickets.

I got my ticket so I really dont feel like arguing about this stuff.

I went to 4 away games plus all home games.

The only thing i'll add is that it is a joke that home games are 20 points and away games are 5. fricking dumb. I've said it a thousand times.
