Fwiw, LSU ticket office cut into the LSU allotment above what the bcs designated for student tickets.

IMO, those people who don't go to all the home games don't deserve tickets.

I'm all for cutting into that allotment if there is enough demand from people who attended all home games. After that, I'd cut the cord and stop dipping further into the allotment. Mediocrity shouldn't be rewarded.

bull shite

I want people that actually went to the games to get those tickets. Not someone who has 150 point's girlfriend or buddy from out of town.

Are students on this ten page long thread really crying about not being within the threshold?

If you didn't make it at 108 then you definitely didn't deserve it. I had 144 so I knew I'd be good, but I don't think I should get a 2nd ticket and be able to bring some random just because i went to some away games.

Yes. Isn't it sad?

"Man I had 106 and I was soooo close"

Go to the fricking home games and you won't have that problem.

Hell it took more points to go see the regular season Alabama game than the BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Irony

Has everyone who applied either got an email saying you did or didn't get the tickets? I haven't gotten either.

I do not think that the tickets should be taken away from the students as you can see from my earlier posts, but it is quite sad to see that less then 2,000 students made all of the home games. I am assuming the students who did make the home games just couldn't afford to make the national title game. Otherwise this is pretty sad.

Please keep in mind LSU really enforced their student ID policy this past season. Its been common place to borrow a students ID to get in the game. They checked much more and critically this past season along with the power tripping state troopers.

Many had their IDs confiscated and the student who gave the IDs were charged with forgery.

No one to my knowledge suggested that tickets be "taken away" from students.

Students got 1000 and then LSU dipped into their other fan allotment to give students tickets. They dipped into that allotment to give tickets to people who didnt even make all the home games apparently.

That is absolute insanity right there.

I even know someone who got a forgery charge because they lost their ID on game day and someone else tried to use it. No big worry to the dean's office. They proceeded with the charge anyways.

But I wouldn't expect anything less than Eric Norman and his band of thugs in judicial affairs. They also stack the appeal board with students they know will uphold their decisions and then they write them recommendations for grad school/jobs when they graduate.

Huge sketchfest in that department.

But that's for another thread....

Is Eric Norman still there anymore?

Right.

As soon as the non-home game attendee picks up his/her ticket, he/she is free to scalp it to whomever

Alabama allocated 2040 tickets. LSU would look like shite had we allocated less than 2000.
