But then wouldnt that person most likely give their extra ticket to someone who didn't have enough points? or maybe a parent or friend who didnt even go to LSU? I kind of agree with that, but then why should some random guy who didnt even attend LSU get discounted student tickets just because..?
I get where youre coming from, but I think most of the tickets would go to parents that paid for the students with the top points to go to all the away games, or friends that just graduated that cant get student tickets anymore. This obviously wouldnt be the case for everyone though.

Yes, but a kid who couldn't even make 120 points (equivilent of all the home games) shouldn't be getting a ticket.

They should have said all home games was the minimum threshold, then given two to the top folks.
See here is why I thought it was dumb in 2007...me and my group of 6 friends traveled and went to every game together, sow hen tickets came out we all got 2 lower level tickets
The thing is we are all best friends so we ended up with 6 extra tickets and had to pull random family members or friends who were lazy and didnt go to as many events as we did and everyone wanted the tickets from us so we had to pick and choose who were our "most deserving" friends. My friends cousin from Houston ended up sitting with us...did she really deserve to be there over an LSU student with 149 priotiy points (151 was cutoff)
It was stupid, we would have rathered only have one
ETA: I know this sounds like a stupid "problem" to have but it really was annyoing because everyone wanted the tickets and everyone who I am really close friends with already got tickets

You could have only requested one.
The point system and group seating is by far the best scenario, just a flaw now that I observed when it only took someone 108 points this year.

Yeah that kind of aggravates me

We had no cluse what the points were going to be...I had exactly 151 and some had 152, 154, etc so we didnt know which of our group would get them and which wouldnt and we all agreed to buy them from each other if we didnt get ours, just turned out we ALL got them and then we were like shite

Let's just not gripe about what happened and rejoice that we have tickets with some random dancing..

Well I got screwed out of a ticket, I don't have my two points for my TAF CC membership on my account which leaves me with 107 instead of 109... Yes for all you ppl who are saying "Well if you couldn't make all the home games then you should go" I missed a game, but only because I work (coach football) Saturday mornings, and the UK game got moved to 11:20

I really think the points were so low due to the tickets being so expensive...$350 is a lot of money for a college student and prob prevented some people from applying

One way or the other, this would have happened. Someone took their grandma to the game in 2007, I'm sure. Another took their little brother or a friend from another school. Are they more deserving than a student who didn't go to all the home games, but went to more than those people?
If I would have gotten tickets in 2007, it would have been a toss-up between my dad and my girlfriend at the time. My gf (now wife) is a bama fan who went to Loyola. I'd rather the kid who went to 5 games and missed one for a funeral get a ticket over her, tbh.

$350
Lower bowl tickets were only $234, and uppers were $300.
I originally considered not going when it was $350, but $234 really was a huge drop in the potential price.

So you went to one away game and one point game?
Maybe you should have gone to more of the 2pt games since you knew in October that you were missing a game.

Exactly. See I would have taken my dad but he didnt want to go in 2007 (didnt want to travel and doesnt really like watching games in person), so after him I had to pull a random friend who I felt was "deserving"

Yes. But then again I would be receiving one of those extra tickets,

Nevermind, you aren't rational anyways...
