I saw an interesting stat on Greg Maddox. Only 310 batters ever reached a 3-0 count on him in his entire career, and half of those were intentional walks.

Christian Little threw hard

That's a crazy all time stat.

Project or some others may know but I’m just curious what other schools have a staff this deep? Especially if Noot gets in the mix. That’s adding the top prep arm in the state of California a couple years ago. Anderson,Eyanson,Cowan,Schmidt,Shores,Noot,
Rizy,Guidry,Mayers,Ware. Absolutely lethal

Arkansas has more power arms than us. 3 over 100mph. 6 more I believe over 96mph. According to a scout I was talking to

Christian Little threw hard
When he didn't have 98 in his pocket, he wasn't nearly as good.

I think JJ said they held
him out early because he pitched so much his Sr year
So he was starting to pitch later in fall ball as other players (and hitters) were finding their groove

I saw it in the clip they tweeted out talking about Jaden Noot.

Maddux spent the great majority of his career not throwing 92-94.
Posted on 1/30/25 at 2:28 pm to barry
Yes, Maddux threw 91-93 early in his career. He never threw 96.

the average fastball in 2025 vs 1995 is probably 4-5mph harder. Maddux's velocity(or perceived lacktherof) was not an anomaly compared to his peers.

He wasn't close to the real hard throwers of the day.
