LSU's Offense Lacks Top Talent, and It's a Recruiting Issue for Coach O.

I watched Geaux Nation the other evening and a point was made I had never considered before. I can't remember the analyst's name but he said that "None of LSU's offensive starters could start for Alabama". He also said the issue is where will LSU be in 3 years from now. Expect Texas A& M to improve, Who could be coaching Auburn by then, plus you have Georgia and Florida improving.
None of this bodes well for Coach O who is supposed to be a top notch recruiter. He better be a CEO that can close the deal with Louisiana's top recruits the next couple of years, or he and Ensminger will be out of a job. You can sign the top WR's all you want, but without a top tier OL, great RB's, and a young developing QB that is accurate, able to read defenses, and can use his legs, then LSU will never beat Bama on the field or in recruiting. Coach O is on the Hot Seat, and rightly so.

How many schools have a player that would start on Bama’s offense? UGA maybe has one or 2.

I don't think he's on the hot seat at all. That could change in a year or 2.

CEO is simply pushing back our coaching woes. He's not the long term solution. We will be rebuilding after this experiment, whether it ends this year, next year, or Alleva extends O to another 5.

This is ABSOLUTELY the issue. This team is not on Bama's level, and the peak of this roster is a 10-2 season.

We have talent in spots. We need a roster full of ELITE talent, including at QB.

Peak would have to be 11-1

Unless you think the UF game was not winnable

The Georgia game was certainly losable. State played Bama better than we did. Nothing happens in a vacuum.

I don’t pay too much attention to Gump recruiting. Are their dominant OL/DL recruited in-state? Do they stay longer? Last year they looked like the Monstars rag dolling our still very big linemen.

We have the skill positions (still a ? At QB, IMO). But, we are getting destroyed at the line, and have been for a while now.

I like you as a poster but this is bullshite. Coach O is as good as a recruiter as there is out there. His current class ranks at 7 and will climb up a few notches as he rounds out the class. He'll still need to reach into juco for help on the Defensive line but the class has some elite players in it. Something sorely lacking right now. I know that you don't like the coaches but please try to be objective. There are plenty of the other sort on this board.

Choach O on the hot seat? For SEC Coach of the year? Easy win this year maybe Coach of the year for CFB?

Holy shite the irony.
You telling someone else to be objective is fricking hilarious.
You're still defending this offense.

Winnable. But we got their best and we didn't step up.

I agree. We weren't gonna beat bama. Our offense isn't near good enough.

Said this in another thread.

Top talent should be a luxury, the thing that turns a good offense into a great one.

If you need top talent to simply be competent, guess what, your scheme is crap.

Stop lying you stupid motherfricker. I've ripped this offense all along. The offensive line is horrible with horrible fundamentals, the running backs are average and there's no WR to take the top off the defense. You ignorant motherfricker.

The tackles can't get out of their stance and when they do they can't move laterally not to mention Charles and Deculus both stand with their feet too close together which means that their center of gravity is too high which gives the leverage to the defensive player.

Now please respond to other people because you're as dumb as a bag of shite.
