Being the number 1 player in high school combined with his injuries and inadequate coaching he was underachieving LSU football player.

I know Fournette was 5th overall, but how did that help LSU? Dude was # 1 player in the country for his class.
He was pretty much our entire offense in 2015. He helped LSU a lot.
Most RB can’t win NC by themselves

Russel Sheppard is another one
Russell Sheppard is Trey Parker and Trey Quinn. We didn’t waste his talents; we just had much better guys in front of him.

This looks more like a “bash LSU’s winningest coach” thread than a thread about wasted talent. Fournette was hardly wasted. For crying out loud, he was a top 5 pick, made his money and picked up a Super Bowl ring. At LSU, he produced some of the most memorable highlights of the modern era.
Y’all just need to get over Les (who by the way brought Fournette to LSU).

He loved Miles. If you remember he hung it up and acted like a kindergartener when Miles was fired.

LF for sure.
He should’ve been the JB9 of RB’s and had crap coaching

Al Woods.
And his brother Chad Jones.

This is a really oddly worded thread.
Are we talking about highly ranked HS prospects that didn’t pan out? Highly ranked prospects who didn’t pan out but made an NFL career out of it anyways? Players with a lot of offseason hype who didn’t do anything significant when the season rolled around?
Fournette doesn’t meet any of those categories so I’m still unsure what you are getting at.

Having to wait until his Jr year for Les to realize Pat Pete could return kickoffs and punts was a crime.
Trindon and Chad Jones were no slouches as return men.

I think he means players who were highly rated coming out of HS AND who demonstrated their talent in the NFL BUT sandwiched in between was a lackluster career here. I think that's what he's inquiring of.
