Hunter blew the scouts on hand out of the water with his workout. He started slowly in the pass-drop drills, but ended up having a very good performance. He caught the ball well when dropping into space, and also did a good job in the pass-rush drills. Hunter is described as having great upside. One of the scouts at LSU's pro day said that in his mind Hunter is a better prospect than Barkevious Mingo -- the No. 6 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns -- was two years ago.

So do you think Hunter makes a better DE or OLB?

Oh look, another person that judges an edge player strictly in sacks...

Hunter had 73 tackles, 3rd in the SEC out of DL, had 13.5TFL, 9th in the SEC and more than Bud Dupree who is considered a 1st round prospect, and he had 6 passes defended, more than some DBs which is ridiculous considering he was a 4-3 DE.

Hunter made plenty of plays on the field. The only thing that he didn't do was get after the QB, which is something our entire team failed to do. But he was very good for us and made plenty of plays. And he oozes pass rushing potential if used correctly.

Hunter was also reported to have been limited to setting the edge and containment by Chavis which didn't allow him to attack the QB

Hunter always has wowed us with his physical attributes.

However his potential has never translated to play on the field. Sure he showed progress at LSU but I still think he could have used another year. IMO it's a maturity issue. Not physical maturity. Just more experience.

For example Keke and Hunter have the similar physical attributes but Keke progressed a little faster. I think Keke has better instincts.

It won't "click" this year for Hunter but once it does he's going to be a dad-arse. It's probably going to click in the middle of the 2016 NFL season.

I love how a guy is a top 5 DL in the SEC and yet our fans say he did nothing... What do our guys gave to do to impress our fans.

he played in 26 games and started 23 the last 2 years. He had 4.5 sacks. He had 1.5 sacks this year!!!!!! WTF! I cant believe you defend this guy every time he comes up. He may very well be a good NFL player, but he was nothing special here.

Bud Dupree had 14.5 sacks over the last 2 years. Their production isnt even comparable for their position.

You had the sound off then. What an idiot! The guy was constantly batting balls. He executed his assignments brilliantly. Chavis used these guys to contain rush, and it worked quite well. It made heroes of defensive backs who benefited from QBs having to make plays with their arms.

Next year you will see much "better" DE production and "worse" DB production.

He earned his "ship" at LSU. Good player who anyone with a brain knew would do well at pro days and the combine.

He needs to get a needle in his butt if he wants to play at the next level. He will have to play OLB at the next level right now and I don't think he can run with NFL RBs or TEs to be quite honest.

I wish him the best but he is a workout freak, but I'm not sold on him yet. Three years from now I might be singing a different tune though.

I don't defend his lack of sack production at all. I even said he doesn't produce sacks.

I defend him when people say he wasn't productive or didn't make plays on the field for us or he wasnt any good, because that's complete bullshite. He produced in every category for us except sacks. And I said that. And the only thing I said about Dupree is that Hunter had more TFL this year than he did. That's it. Didn't compare them at all actually.

And I never said he was special or even great here for us.
