These are the 3 seed contenders. One of these five teams will be left out, and be a 4 seed (most likely Purdue or FSU, unless LSU gets shafted).
LSU
Texas Tech
Houston
Purdue
Florida St.

Maybe a Houston losses pushes them to the 4 line

No way the SEC champ drops below a 3 seed.

Of those 5 we should be the highest rated 3 seed

You'd think it would, but I don't think it will since Houston has such a ridiculously high NET ranking at #4.

No way to justify purdue over lsu

I think we all can agree they deserve a 3 and should be seeded no lower than a 4. If they end up seeded as a 5 and have the dreaded 5/12 opening round match-up then the fix is definitely in by the NCAA in my opinion.

I think we have a strong case for being a 2 seed.

Texas Tech and Purdue also lost in their first conference tournament games to inferior opponents than Florida.
Committee puts a huge emphasis on road games. We were 9-0 in conference.
We have a full, healthy, eligible roster.
We should be on 3 line.

We lost to 2 of them plus the NCAA hates us.

I think the Florida loss sank our shot at a 2. Likely 2 seeds are UNC, Kentucky, Michigan St., and Michigan.

Lol. Where do some of you get that the ncaa hates LSU? This isn’t the fricking 80s.

Kentucky??? Lmao. That will be a joke if they get a 2 seed.
Posted on 3/17/19 at 9:59 am to BarnHater
Why is it a joke? They’re a good team.

We are better than Kentucky.

There is no way Texas Tech (and really Purdue as well) should be ahead of LSU.
TTU has a lower SOS and MUCH lower non-conf SOS. LSU has more Q1 wins, a better road record and zero Q3 loses (TT has one).
The avg net ranking of LSU’s wins = 94
The avg net ranking of TTU’s wins = 118
That should be an easy decision.

unless LSU gets shafted

LSU is still a 3 high seed across the nation in brackets LINK

I don't know if that is really the exact list of teams in line for a 3 seed, but if that's accurate, I would say Purdue should absolutely be the team left out.
9 losses, and outside of beating a slumping Michigan State team earlier in the year, they don't really have any signature wins to be able to use their strength of schedule as an excuse to put them ahead of any of those other teams you listed, including LSU.
