Gray has better stuff and more upside than Nola.

Nolan Ryan had better stuff, but Greg Maddux was a better pitcher.

frickin right. My buddy and I were trying to analyze this game tonight and we came to the conclusion that if both starters are on their A game tonight, we win. Nola had a better chance of dominating their lineup than Gray did of ours.

Nola was also pretty impressive but he just doesn't have the same stuff as the OU pitcher.

Didnt have the same stuff? Are you kidding me? If anything, he had better stuff tonight. He painted with his fastball which has alot more movement because of the low arm slot and he located his breaking stuff perfectly. Gray blew the fastball by alot of people but his slider was the dif in his game tonight. It was phenomenal. Nola still had better stuff. He had alot more movement on every pitch tonight. Nola's fastball would have graded out higher tonight because it had twice as much life. Velocity isnt everything.

Guys I think Nola was great but you are kidding yourself if u say he was on the same level as Gray. LSU's lineup has a lot of tough outs and Gray mowed them down (he had Bregmans # last night). LSU lineup made him work by being patient and making him throw a bunch of pitches. That was the difference. Gray started to fatigue around the 100 pitch mark and LSUs bats took advantage of it.

You put Gray on LSU and Nola on OU and the outcome would be the same (victory for LSU).

LSU is the far superior team (that was pretty clear when the RP came in and we hit him very hard unfortunately McMullen and Bregman hit their shots right at a fielder). My feeling was OUs only shot was a dominant performance by Gray and then luck out a second game.

Nola make it thru the next year with no injury and he will gonvery very high. I think some are enamored with Gray and his draft status, he is great. But last night Nola was better.

We saw two pretty bad arse pitchers tonight and both will probably make a ton of money at the next level.

What? He was mowing down one of the best lineups in CBB last night. LSU did a great job making him work and he eventually fatigued a little after his pitch count got up.

Nola was great as well don't get me wrong but he wasn't facing the same quality of players.

Gray made some very good hitters look silly last night.
