You need to subtitle this thread: "Rouge standing tall, before the man"

This was awesome.

Brandon Larson, hope you stay around dude, have fond memories of your crushing shite @ the old Box.

What was the old box like during a weekend series back in the 90's? I remember LSU baseball starting in 96, but didn't live in LA so have only ever been to the new box.

I feel like with those rosters, the state of the college baseball back then, and the overall state of culture without the things we have now, it would have made for one heck of a party.

It was like...a massive family reunion at a rock concert of your favorite band.

Great, great days to be a student.
I'm class of '96.

ETA: my gf's roommate on Brightside was this OT 7.3 blonde and was a bat-girl.
Jason Williams would blow that phone up, baw.

Obviously college is great at anytime but I feel like from about 1996-2003 with the way culture was shifting, technology advancing, and LSU sports really on the rise would have been a great time to be in BR.

It was also great to be around to watch the greats Faulk, Diesel, Mealy, Bordelon, Stansbury, Northern...those teams won with pure heart and pride in wearing the P&G. Getting snubbed by Warrick Dunn was truly shocking back then, being a CHS baw.

Nicky Savoie was a thug at TE but he was our thug and we loved his sheannigans as long as they didnt cost us a w.

ETA: saw Troy Aikman and Jay Novacek at The Gold Club flirting with David Lafleur more than the chicks.

Chris Jackson's 30.2 ppg in his freshman year is probably pretty safe as well, considering the 1-and-done rule might be gone soon.

Pete would own that record also had they counted his freshmen year or let him play varsity.

Oh wow that's awesome!

What about Eric Berthelot? He was my coach at Skip Bertman's Camp in 1994. He taught me a lot over the course of that week. He also pitched great in the 1997 CWS.

BBcore bats have killed college baseball. It has become boring. They needed to do something, but they killed the college game with the current bats. It is total shite now, like watching the major leagues. tD Ameritrade Park was build for hotter aluminum bats. Park is to big for dead bats.
