We won't be having alcohol anymore anyway so it wont matter.
Get a root beer keg next week, just to piss them off...

We're very familiar with the guy believe me. He blows. It isn't the first time we've had a problem with him. He ripped our speakers apart last year and we issued a complaint.
How much would you estimate the value of the property that was confiscated?
Perhaps you should invest in a camera phone to record future run ins with this particular officer. Sounds like he has an axe to grind with you.

A buddy of mine was carded without a drink in his hand. The officer told him he was going to write him up for "conspiring to drink alcohol underage" My friend asked him if that was even a charge. The officer responded with "Are you trying to say I don't know the law, boy?"
Not saying the officer was completely wrong as my friend was near a line for a keg but it still seems like they were trying to really nail as many people as possible for underage drinking this weekend.
it sucks those kegs got taken away over that a few people being caught with alcohol near the tailgate though.

LSUPD is the worst. I pulled into the drive way of a closed parking lot to talk to my BRPD police friend who was blocking that entrance. While we were talking this LSUPD needle dick comes running over to my truck yelling "get the frick out of here" and "lots closed you dumb motherfricker".
I guess he thought my buddy and I were arguing over whether or not I could park in the lot. We both laughed in his face.

Haha we actually had serious conversations about that. I love root beer.

I hope they start ticketing every underage person in a bar now...after all, they are too close to alcohol, right?
Better yet, just park on the beer aisle at winn-dixie and ticket all the minors for walking by after they stop and pick up their orange juice and milk...

I think we're done with this guy. If he comes back he won't find anything to pin us with. We're not having acohol anymore, as I said, so I think we're just calling it quits to avoid anymore trouble this guy is going to cause us.

this.
LSUPD and BRPD seem to neglect this fact.
when i actually need a cop, no where to be found.....when everyone is having a good time, there within minutes.

i love all the old farts in this thread who are acting like they've never drank under the age or sipped a beer while a minor at a tailgate.
fricking kidding me? it's apart of life growing up out LSU tailgates.
get over yourselves.
fwiw, we had a kegger too right off of nicholson extension. 2 beer pong tables. and a table full of liquor. plenty of kids running around, none drinking.
never saw a cop.

We had a keg, and had kids around. Can't get much more under age than that. Nobody bothered even looked twice.

why not just move your tailgate and keep it a little more low key?

I honestly don't see a problem with controlled underage drinking at a tailgate as long as behavior is kept in check. Don't get me wrong, its not legal, but it isn't necessarily a problem. That drunk-arse, single, middle aged man with beer in hand running around spanking co-ed tail much to their disapproval is more disturbing then the 20 year olds flipping a burger and making fun of him doing it. If there isn't a problem, don't worry about it. Just my two cents.

MIP's are one thing, but you're right about this. Like the keg situation, they're drumming up business on out of towners. If only 5% of ticketed people show up to defend themselves, they still had a hell of a day.

We like our spot. Don't want to jump onto anyone elses usual tailgating territory (just to be polite). Besides, no matter where we go I have a feeling this guys going to find us so we might as well just not bother anymore. Its not worth the trouble. We were about as low key as possible before, anyway. And everyone was 21 as far as I knew and we still got screwed. Just not worth the effort.

Reminds me of when a rent-a-cop at Lakeside shopping center stopped a buddy of mine in his car for speeding in the parking lot. He started to write out some sort of citation. We both laughed and him and drove off.

They have always been like this the past couple of years. I know numerous of LSUPD and they are cool if your cool. If your going to get an attitude they will get the last word. If they just let every 15 yr old drink they would be out of a job.

Having an attitude means asking a question to LSUPD. Such as why are making up charges like conspiracy to drink underage.

Exactly. I will quote what was said:
"Excuse me officer, why are you taking our kegs?"
He responded with the F word used in about 2423678 different ways.
