When are they going to start videotaping and kicking out those that don't wash their hands after taking a shite?
Guys, I see your points, but the chant is an entirely different conversation and logic.
Do you all want it to get to the point where they seriously check fans for alcohol and such? They are really relaxed on a lot of things, but the part of an entire section of fans screaming that is just idiocy at its best.
These are just kids basically and they will do what kids do, get away with as much as they can.....its a shame, but they have made it so ridiculous that they now must be policed. And if 500 lose their privileges, I promise there are others that will be happy to take those tickets

If the students had any balls they would ensure that a solid "frick Alleva" made it to CBS.
If I'm not mistaken, the original chant during "Neck" was 'STTD'; when The Reville article came out griping about it, they promptly added an emphatic "BITCH!" to the end...

Profanity is one thing. Sexually explicit chants are another.
"SAH-ah TAH-da-DAH! BEH!" is not sexually explicit. Let's be honest with what we're actually hearing from the student section.
Yes, on TV. In the sections around the students? Clear as day.

There's something called respect for other human beings. You're probably unaware that it exists, as you don't get much of it. You have to earn respect by showing it to others.
You're supporting the language police and expecting respect from others.
You mistake a call for a modicum of decency and self control for support for the language police. Shows your intelligence and reading comprehension. I don't think a crackdown should be necessary. Again, it's called respect.

You can have a shitload of fun without making others uncomfortable or put off. Go to a school and start yelling "suck my dick" and see how fast you get a dick shoved in your mouth in prison. Sex offender list. Why is it suddenly ok in a large stadium with kids around?
Because unwanted sexual advance is sexual harassment, and a profane chant of 10,000 people directed to no one in particular isn't sexual harassment.
So you can walk around with a group of people yelling "suck my dick" around kids with no consequence? Give it a try.

Absolutely horrible point, and get off the high horse with the respect thing. Language policing is one of the most disrespectful, sick, vile, disgusting, piece-of-shite things you can do, so you have no moral ground on which to stand.
I'm not part of the language police. I think people can police themselves. Unfortunately, you are working hard to prove me wrong in my assumption that the LSU students are in any way intelligent.

Did they do anything to Petrino for his gesture and obvious lip-read at his last game vs. LSU?

You're not getting your way, so you're throwing a tantrum. You are in no place to lecture anyone on language, maturity, or anything of a moral nature in this conversation.
People will say whatever they will, and you will deal with it.

I go to FSU and would certainly be pissed if somehow the War Chant was taken away due to inappropriate chants.
Every time I see FSU on TV doing that aggravating chant, I always substitute "Put your lo-o-oad, in my Semen-Hole!"

I am not in favor of taping the students, because I see no purpose in it. Everyone knows what is being done and said. The only way for this to end is for some leaders to emerge amongst the student body and bring this to an end. Yelling profanities from the stands is pointless and lacks class. I wonder how many of these brave people would curse the players on the other team in person. Again it is time for students to step forward and stop the foolishness.

You're either deaf or stupid because I sit on the east side of the north end zone and can clearly hear what is being chanted.
I've also sat on the west side and have been able to clearly hear the same STTDB chant.

I could care less. But my kids have every bit of right to be in that stadium. And I protect my kids at all times from people around them yelling stupid childish (premeditated) profanity.
I went to games as a kid and heard profanities yelled both from the student section and other people just sitting in my section.
Drunk fans yell expletives at sporting events no matter where they sit. My parents didn't have to "protect" me from it. All it took was learning from them that there are words that are inappropriate and shouldn't be said

Yup, its another self created controversy by the rant

Its funny once or twice.
After that, its just classless.
Not even worth arguing with anyone who thinks otherwise.

I really hope I'm not such a pussy parent as some posters on here when it comes to raising my kids.

Makes no difference to me, I watch on TV. With that being said, I have heard it was pressure from CBS that started all of this. Just what I heard not sure if true. If that is the case, then i'm sure there are some smart students at LSU that could start reviewing CBS's programing and call them out on it if the evidence is there.
Correct me if i am mistaken about the whole CBS thing.
Just my .02

Dismount the high horse. You're the bad guy. You're overly concerned with the speech of others, and if you're not calling for the policing of language, you're throwing a tantrum that other people aren't behaving according to your preferences. You are the one showing disrespect for your fellow man. Respect him by minding your own damn business.
Right. I could give two shits about how you talk to people. You ask me to show you respect, yet you hold no respect for your fellow fans or institution you represent in that stadium. The only tantrum thrown is by you and those who find it offensive that anybody can possibly be offended by your actions. Again, I could give two shits. I can already tell how successful you will be.

I don't have a 'way' or a horse... let alone a high one. The chant doesn't come through on tv most of the time, so I don't have to explain that to my kids. There are thousands of people there that do, though. I'm saying you should show some respect to the people who also paid for tickets. If you don't, well good for you. What goes around comes around. Someday you may come to realize that the entirety of the universe is not confined to what you see in your mind.

Just trying to show a militant defender of STTDB why some might find the chant uncalled for. Some people have no clue how their supposedly innocent actions affect others. If it's too vulgar for a kid, then the parents shouldn't take the kid. LSU is hurt by that in the long run, though. Is the action by the admins a waste of resources and ridiculous? Sure. Some people need to know that there are consequences to actions, and most of the consequences aren't seen immediately.
