LSU gave UNC the most trouble so far in the tourney. They never deserved to be an 8 seed.

yep. no shame in losing UNC, but we had to play them to early.

Slive should've lobby'd a little harder for LSU.

But then again it is hard to second guess Slive. After all is the man the made Conf. USA what it is today.

We would have beat a lot of teams that were 1-16 from 3pt range.

LSU should not have went on its late season swoon. Had that not happend, there would not have been any need for lobbying.

the local radio guy's here have said ou's weakness is playing teams that have great guards. i think thorton would have had 30 plus but would we have an answer for griffin? it would have been a better game than today's but who knows. i do thik we should have been a higher seed than an 8 (5 or 6) and we could have maybe went to the sweet 16. before the selection show some of the local media guy's said they thought we could see an LSU/OU match up in the sweat 16. either way, the future looks good for LSU bball.

ZSo if they had lost to Vandy and Auburn in January and ended up with the same record they would have been seeded higher? that may well be the case. It has often been stated there is greater premium placed on the last 10 to 12 games. If that is the case there were teams like Clemson and Illinois which finished much lower in their own conference and ahd a worse record down the stretch. Either way LSU should have been a 5 to 6 seed an dwould have had a beter chance of making it to the Sweet 16.

LSU gave UNC their toughest game so far. I picked UNC to win it all. As far as the OU vs UNC game goes the game was over when the score was 7-0 in the first half. OU never lead the entire game and really never threatened.

Right. And we would have done well against any team that primarily relied upon the perimeter game to trigger their offense. For whatever reason, we had trouble stopping penetration, and IMO that would have eventually bit us down the road, even if Lawson didn't play in the UNC game.

He would have been a tough match up, no doubt. But you have to give C.J. credit for his work on T.H. in the UNC game.

I hope you're right, and that we can recruit well the next two years in particular. Because we're losing a lot, especially if Taz leaves.

Do you know much about our recruiting at this point - because I don't? Sorry if that's a hijack - maybe another thread is in order.

i hear the dotson kid is a stud, next year will be tough but it's not like the SEC is a power conf. i trust coach johnon's judgement when recruiting kids.
