LSU with 5 1st year transfers starting (all on defense), Noles with 6!

We thought LSU was too reliant on the transfer portal. Only 1 player on their offense signed with FSU out of high school. The other 10 are all transfers.

Jordan Jefferson started every game last year for WVU and had most TFLs (9.5) on the team.
Ovie started 20 games the last two years at Texas and has also appeared in an ACC Conference Championship and a Playoff game.
Speights led the Beavers in tackles and named All PAC-12 First team

Simple, they won title the last 2 years and haven’t lost a game in a while, don’t worry, before you know it they will be using the portal. I don’t understand why people like you hate on the portal. Do you not realize LSU would of been in rebuild mode until like 2026 without the portal. We have half our starting defense as newcomer veteran transfers this year. What the hell would this team do without them this year? It would be ugly man. We wouldn’t have any corners, the dline would be thin and we wouldn’t have an edge rusher or stud running the show at MLB. Georgia didn’t have to go through having half their roster leave. You realize they brought in 25 freshmen and 15 Transfers in 2023 class. We good on the offensive side of the ball. AA was a huge need filled on special teams and a much need playmaker. Diggs and Lunsford were just nice depth additions. We set on offense for the next few years and will get their on defense

And no one is arguing transfers don’t help. You just can’t consistently use the portal at this many positions and except to win and compete for the sec each and every year. Georgia is showing you how it’s done

Why not? So, we’d be better off starting a bunch of transfers with walk ons backing then up. Are people like you really LSU FOOTBALL FANS? It sure don’t seem like it, go be a fricking bulldog then.

No recruit better you moron. I don’t understand how some of you don’t grasp this concept. We have recruited poorly at certain positions the last 3 years.
Stop making excuses and understand the fricking problem.
Kelly is a great coach. Stop always changing the subject.

I’ve been saying for more than a year that CBK is better at evaluating and attracting portal talent than HS recruiting. He has more of a pro GM eye, as did his right hand man we lost this past spring to an AD job.

Georgia might be an outlier but they are showing you the blueprint on how to compete for the sec and a NC each year.

BK had, what, 34 scholarship players when he took over?
Without the portal, we are nowhere close to the SECCG last year. He’ll probably would have finished last in 2022 and not much better if at all this year.

WR is only position on the team.
