The details of the meeting between LSU and basketball coach Will Wade on April 12 are becoming clear. As part of his reinstatement, the coach made concessions in his contract, according to documents obtained by Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger as part of a public records request. Under two amendments he agreed the school add to his contract, LSU can fire Wade for cause if he is found to have committed Level I or Level II NCAA violations, or if the NCAA infractions committee issues a formal notice of Level 1 or Level 2 violations to LSU involving the coach. Wade also agreed to waive the $250,000 in performance bonuses he contractually earned in 2018–19.

I'm not sure why he'd give up something he earned.

He will jump ship at the first opportunity. He had to do this until the smoke clears.

You do if you're desperate to get your job back and you're currently worth nothing on the open market.

Yeah.. I think that would leave me feeling pretty bitter, but if he agreed to it without too much fuss I guess it does indicate he loves his job at LSU.

He takes job back and now he is considered far more employable than having cloud over his head. He agrees to silly crap from JA and FK. Now he is far more marketable on the market.

Are only hope is that we have a new AD and he can make it right with a new deal.
