It's simply not a positive if this is the case.
Takes away from focusing on the best guy being starter.

Probably, and there are things Denbrock does that suit each of them.

Daniels is working hard and getting help with his accuracy after having to change his footwork, which was the reason he missed passes in the spring, implied that his accuracy could be much improved in fall camp.

If Daniels' accuracy still sucks so bad after three seasons, the odds that he will improve significantly during summer camp are overwhelmingly against it.

The Advocate article explained that it’s a three way tie at QB, but with each QB getting an offense in fall camp designed for their unique talents, Kelly expects one to stand out and start.

With Kayshon Boutte openly lobbying for Garrett Nussmeier to be the starter, I don't think there is anyway Nussmeier won't be the starter.

A lot of what is said in the above quoted statement is I believe coach speak intended to prevent transferring.

If Daniels is lucky enough to see the field in 2022 it will be only in wildcat packages designed to take advantage of his running ability.

Considering how good LSU's receiver corps is, it would be criminal to play Daniels in any other way .

Nuss is most likely to bounce if not the starter

Nuss will be the inevitable starter because he is not only far more talented than the other two QBs but also because Kayshon Boutte says that Nussmeier will lead LSU to a lot of wins. As Nussmeier is the player Boutte wants to be the starter and if LSU wants to keep Boutte happy, then Nussmeier will be anointed the starter.

Meanwhile, I don't blame Boutte. As he has a lot riding on the success of 2022, as his draft stock will depend on it.

don’t know what it would look like, but he’s too special as a runner to not utilize somehow if he doesn’t win the job.

Daniels is not going to be used in a two QB system, as he is too piss poor a passer for that to happen.

However, it would be stupid not to use him in wildcat packages.

So, who is the back up for LSU’s three QB’s that the Rant will be likely rooting for?

If it were up to me, I'd make Boutte happy and anoint Nuss the starter.

Brennan his backup and Daniels the wildcat package QB.

This is retarded and completely false (and illogical).

If he loses the job, it would be to a senior. He’s only a redshirt freshman.

There are probably zero P5 programs he could transfer to in August and start, if he were even eligible.

He’s in an excellent spot win or lose, because he should get reps and be in the drivers seat heading into 2023.

Well just based off the spring game which post alludes to I would have to say one QB clearly separated himself. Of course this is just based off of what we saw in the spring game

I don't see Coach Kelly rollin that way... Nussmeier may end up being the starter but it will be because it gives the team the best opportunity to win.

They aren’t going to try and install 3 different offenses, that would be confusing as hell and take forever. Maybe Denbrock puts in his multiple offense and sees who runs it best? It’s a lot of coach speak but I do think they don’t have a clear front runner and running vanilla plays may not be enough to let Brennan or Nuss separate themselves.

Also worth pointing out that he’s not eligible anyway. The deadline to transfer with fall eligibility has already passed. Whoever gets the starting job, Nuss will be at LSU this year.

Were you under the impression that they had selected a starter after spring camp?

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that the competition was going to continue into the fall. The only change is that the staff are apparently installing plays/concepts to suit the various QBs’ strengths. Which is, as others have said, quite refreshing.

Now, there is something to be said for knowing what “the offense” will be - not just for the quarterbacks but for the rest of the team as well. However, I sincerely doubt Kelly/Denbrock intend to install three completely different offenses. More likely they have certain concepts they want each QB to focus on, within the same overall offensive scheme.

No element of surprise to the defense.
Am pro Kelly...but SEC defenses will dial in.

If we NEED all 3 qb's on the field, Houston we have a problem.
