Like white on Rice. This matchup is a joke. LSU- Michigan would’ve been the same, but more prestigious.

Yes they will. I don't think this matchup is a joke though. UCF has proven to be considered a top team until we show them wrong. Auburn lost to them so the SEC had it's chance to prove them wrong and failed. We will not fail.

At this point, I’ll be content with a win. Don’t care what it looks like. It’ll set the right tone for 2019 and I think that’s important. I don’t think there will be any LSU just pushing them around. The defense is so depleted, if they get that fast temp going, we’ll see offensive players playing defense.

Ol’ Ed wants us to believe in Ensminger, the offense better come out firing on all cylinders, because the defense will need it to take the pressure off of them and to keep them off of the field as much as possible.

Really? You'll be shocked if LSU wins? LOL, I'm glad you aren't involved with the football program then. That's some straight up loser shite right there.

Ensminger sucks.
Slinger would suddenly seem like an Offensive Genius if his QB had time to go through progressions. He has no time to do anything before the opposing Defense is on him.

Put Burrow behind the Bama, Oklahoma, Clemson or Notre Dame OL's and suddenly Ensminger looks like a totally different OC.

Is SE the most creative and progressive OC in College football? Absolutely not.

His Offense hasn't scored a point against the Red Devils in two years as OC. Why no quick developing passes to WR's/RB's/TE's to avoid the surge coming through LSU's tissue paper OL?

However, he looks worse because the QB has no time for plays to evolve. Pass blocking is horrendous. (And the WR's don't catch half of what's thrown to them when the ball actually hits their hands) Replace the "Wal-Mart 4 for $1.00 toilet Paper" with some higher quality thicker Charmin and you fix most of the Offensive problems.

BTW, I'm sticking to my earlier prediction that if god forbid LSU loses to mighty UCF, Ensminger will resign as Offensive Coordinator. We'll see how it unfolds..……….

We actually did try to throw some quick developing passes and it worked sometimes, but when Bama was playing man and pressing our receivers at the line and knocking their timing and routes off, it became more and more difficult to execute. Combine their dB play with their front 7 constantly pressuring our qb and making him throw out of a phone booth (limiting the trajectory of the pass, effecting burrows ability to step into a throw and eliminating possible throwing wimdows) or scramble out to avoid a sack and the play becomes all fricked up. It becomes a scramble drill at that point.

Bamas front 7 just whipped us and their dbs played a hell of a game too. We just didn't execute well enough. Some of that is due to our lack of talent and experience, but a lot of it had to do with them just being that good and we couldn't match them. We have to get better at the line of scrimmage or we won't beat teams like alabama has this year. Most of our passing woes on offense were bc of our inability to run the ball period on their front 7 and saban knew it and had us from that point on. Man for man they were just better than us up front. So, saban made their numbers make sure we couldn't double team them and when we did, their lbs roamed free and unblocked all game bc their dline just swallowed our blocks and didn't allow them to get to the 2nd level.

All of this. LSU has to get better at the line of scrimmage. This recruiting class helps with that. I don't understand why people can't see it. You've got guys here that will argue you up and down that LSU has plenty of talent on offense and they'll even start talking about how good past recruiting classes were. They simply will not hear that the team needs to be restocked with talent. It's supremely frustrating to attempt to have a discussion with them.

I don't see it. Burrow has had ample time frequently enough but either failed to find an open receiver; missed his check down, etc. We can't execute a screen pass. Ensminger's play calling lacks creativity and is limited.

When watching other teams, you frequently see well executed tunnel screens or a drag route to mix it up. We rarely if ever see that.

We've played 12 games. The offensive scheme isn't new anymore nor or the players inexperienced.

There's no getting around the fact that this offense has deficiencies starting with coaching. I've read where Marshall and Chase were just too inexperienced to contribute more. Why? Other teams effectively use freshmen at wide out. Maybe it improves next year but color me skeptical.

LSU wins if they stick to the run. UCF is 118 in run defense. If you watched both Memphis games UCF gr shredded by the run in both games.

A nice way of saying that they just weren't ready. Sometimes athletes need time to develop after high school. Maybe they didn't know the right routes or where to line up. I know that E said that they had communication issues up front.
