As I get ready for the 4th I still have football on my mind. As I move through all the pre-season college football talk nothing really nice is being said about LSU. I understand what they are saying but they don't talk about the good things happening.

Unproven is the word for this LSU football team. That being said I am seeing great talent being pulled together with transfers coming in to help greatly with the young raw talent. We also have more than one 1st round draft picks playing on the D-side of the ball with one of the proven best defensive coordinators in the country.

We have talent at WR's and we now have talent at the QB position. That talent once again is unproven - the play of the starting QB early will shape the season.

I say Joe is a go and he will deliver !

As a Tiger fan we have had a great deal of below expectations with LSU football for the last 3 to 4 years. It is time for that to change.

My vote today is that we beat Miami and in doing so show off a new LSU QB in the process.

Happy 4th of July to all you Tigers!

This defense is going to embarrass UM and we will slowly build a lead.

I agree with that and you should expect more!

My sin is that I see us having a Winning Football Team that will put fear of the Tigers back into the SEC!

I want to see Nick through his head-set off his head this year in Tiger Stadium!

Hey TigerL

Have a great 4th and of course the season will be what it will be but today as I look forward I think the Tigers are going to shock the college football world.

That's my story and I am sticking with it!

I agree that we match up better against Miami than they do us and we should beat them.

That said the reason everyone says we're unproven is because it's true; which makes things a lot more exciting.

I’m on board for the ride TigerCliff777. I have no doubts whatsoever about the D. I believe that as our QB goes, so goes the O.

I see CSE calling quick developing passing plays early. This will allow the OL to settle into improving pass protection. Plays will also include the backs, especially CEH out of the backfield and the slot.

Chase to shine early.

For the record, I agree with you. I think the #2 ACC team most years would be about the equivalent of Texas A&M. I just can't see Miami hanging with LSU.

I'm thinking 41-3. I think we top our last game against them by one.

yes

great kids getting coached up! why not have hope for the best

everything other than the D we are going to put on the field is based on unknowns - so the media sees us failing - I don't agree

ST play and the complete offense

CEO is all in with Steve E - so let's go get it!

This game will be over by half and Burrow will be the talk of ESPN and a Heisman front runner by week 2

I think LSU wins by at least 10. It will be a good game but they will have hell against LSU's D. I can't wait for this game.

I’m not as confident as most, but I think we pull it out.
LSU - 24
UM - 23

Miami’s offense returns some pretty good players.
QB Malik Rosier 3,100 26TDs
HB Travis Homer 1,000 8 TDs
WR Ahmmon Richards (Fr All-American 2016, returning from injury)
OL Navaughn Donaldson ALL ACC

Defense is pretty solid

DE Joe Jackson ALL ACC
LB Shaq Quarterman ALL ACC
CB Michael Jackson ALL ACC
S Jaquan Johnson ALL ACC/ALL AMERICAN

Last two recruiting classes have been excellent as well.

QB - Miami (push w/ Burrow??)
RB - Miami
WR - Miami
OL - LSU
TE - LSU

DE - LSU
DT - LSU
LB - Push
CB - LSU
S - Miami

ST - Miami

Coach - Miami
