defense looks better eccept at LB. But between Clark Baskerville, and Starks at ILB Im not worried. Need OLB's though

The OP listed the roster which is fine but hardly means those guys can really play IMO. These are the current defensive guys I have confidence in.

Secondary: Hampton, Stevens, Stingley, Ward, Flott, Vincent

LB - Clark, Brooks, probably 1 other will emerge

DL - Farrell, Ika, Thomas, Shelvin, Logan

But the key will be the contributions of Ricks, McGlothern, Toles, and hopefully L Johnson in the secondary. The LBer are the best LSU class ever...Webb, Sampah, White, and Ojulari. And the DL has Roy and Guillory and really crossing my fingers for M Jackson

Oh I think the talent on the OL is fine. But they will need time to gel

Even this years OL wasn’t really good run blocking until game 6

Any burrow masked any issue that came about pass blocking

So there will be some growing

I know this has nothing to do with him being a linebacker but Baskerville after that punt block at Vandy made me want to see more of him. Plus that's just a badass name. I hope he emerges next year.

though at OLB Brooks looks to be a player that could pick right up where Chaisson left off. One of the two between Thorton and Anthony need to step up or we will be counting on true freshman Webb and Ojulari

The bad news is Texas won't be breaking in a new QB.

That's gonna be a tough game for all of our new starters.

"on paper"

Even with talented players, replacing that much usually takes a toll.

It's not an insult to think a team that loses 9 juniors, a Heisman trophy winning Senior QB, another first round senior, and a key DL will have some growing pains.

Lester,
Remember everyone was freaking out at the beginning of the year on how the offense line was going to be an issue! Haha.
You're right Hoss. Just give them time to gel

I do, cause i was one of them! The RBs should have been gashing teams and they didn't really start to until florida. Not sure what they changed but it was pretty immediate

LSU returned every starter from 2018 and it still took time for them to really show out. When they did they showed out big time though.

Oline next year will be a concern, but should start clicking in November.
