Definitely disappointing.

Poa stepped it up but still needs consistency.

Credit to Reese. She has a huge motor and works her arse off, but must be in fantastic shape. She always seems less tired than the others.

She's definitely stepping up her leadership role and bringing her game up to wherever it needs to be.

The way Kim treats Poa I kinda get the feeling that she is a complete dumbass.

That was a bad decision. But Poa has been the spark we needed off the bench. Clutch free throws. Great defense. Knows how to take a charge like no other. She is far from a complete dumbass.

Because it’s a terrible opinion.

Yea, ok. They have erratic passes in critical moments. Plenty of times where they should simply back the ball out and reset but they get sped up and out of control and commit too many unnecessary turnovers. Both Poa and HVL can barely get around their defenders off the dribble, so instead they pass the ball from between the half-court and three-point line. It provides waay too much time for the defense to react and get a turnover. HVL is an absolute liability on defense because her opponent can drive around her at will. Poa plays so far off the ball handler that they make uncontested passes and when her opponent doesn't have the ball, she's still off so when the rest of the team works hard on defense, there's always an easy outlet to whoever Poa is guarding.

LSU is horrific with bringing the ball up-court against any kind of press and even worse on simply inbounding the ball under pressure....been that way the entire season. Teams constantly run screen after screen because LSU has yet to figure out exactly what they want to do on defense against it. All season teams have lit LSU up from behind the arc...uncontested for the most part.

The list goes on and on. It's not just a lack of talent due to not having a PG but it's also some poor coaching. KM is a great coach but this team has issues this late in the season that should've been addressed by now. Tonight they almost lost to Auburn AGAIN and they struggled because they kept making the same mistakes over and over.

I do think she probably over estimated the HVL converting to PG experiment and the backup PG left the team.

Hard to initiate an offense consistently with no true reliable ball handler. Its a revolving door between Poa/Williams/HVL trying to find something game to game

Yes, KM is a great coach.

This team still has issues with inbounding the ball and getting the ball up-court against any type of pressure. This has been an issue all season and they haven't improved any.

Calling a TO and still being unable to advance the ball. Not calling a TO BEFORE advancing the ball with a pass. Getting a turnover on the inbound and not holding the ball in a critical moment, i.e. the badly attempted scoop lay-up by Poa.

Yes, not having a true PG really hurt this team but they turn the ball over with wild erratic passes that are unnecessary. Poa tried to flop on a key defensive play that led to a wide-open lay-up.

LSU had 3 starters now show up. They also probably should have given Rosario a few more minutes than they did. Idk how she didn't with Morrow stinking it up pretty bad as well.

Not sure how this is getting any down votes.

And I will add the girls off the ball make lazy cuts take bad angles when trying to get open. Sometimes the turnovers by the passer are caused by bad effort by the girl receiving the pass.

I don’t understand our offense at times. I get we are extremely dominant inside with morrow and Reese but the ball movement overall just makes it hard for the guards to get many decent looks while in rhythm. I can’t tell you the last time I saw Williams get a clean look while taking a quality shot in rhythm. Every shot Williams takes now is contested one on one fade away jumpers

Van Lith is not a point guard. LSU must find another player. HVL is good - just not a PG. Also her one-handed push passers must stop. Not accurate & that type pass usually has a lot of spin making it difficult for others to handle.

Is this professional sports where we can make mid-season trades? Where do you suggest we find this other player to take Van Lith’s spot for the rest of this season? Our only other option at point guard is Last Tear Poa and she had 4 turnovers in 25 minutes last night.

She needs to drop some weight this off season. She’s too heavy and a good athlete has no problem guarding her.

Late to the thread and didn't read all of it but was wondering why the Auburn matchup has caused us problems this year?

They slow it down and their guards can penetrate past ours. We played good D last night for 28 seconds then we'd collapse because somebody would get beat to the lane and they'd kick out for a 3. They've also shot better than normal against us.

The inbounding is terrible. One of the easiest things to do in basketball and it’s like we don’t even have a play for it.

Our inbounds issue are caused because we are trying to throw it under the goal for a layup first- teams are waiting for it
