This is another problem of NIL that wasn’t foreseen. After a season is over, where is the money going to go?…...to the players coming back. In places like football, this isn’t as big of an issue because their next big payday is the NFL. Not the case in women’s basketball. Once the college career ends, that’s basically it. So I am sure it was grinding their gears seeing all the endorsements, lottery money to the other 2 etc. after the season.
Of course someone like Alexis is like wait a second, who contributed more to that season, me or Flaujae? So she has resentment seeing those big paydays and endorsements but that is how the system works. It isn’t about loyalty or not. The train has to go on and be thankful for what you achieved.
