Was LSU, the lowest rated 2 seed?

Believe it was Vandy.

It is, but that would destroy this board’s (insert whatever) hates LSU narrative.

Little troll they got coaching at UCLA talking shite again

She's just jealous of all the attention LSU and Kim get, while she has to beg people to show up to their games.

Anyone considering making the trip up to Sacramento for Sweet 16?

We would have to beat one of Texas, SC, UConn, or UCLA in the Elite Eight. Might as well be UCLA.

I want SC. I dont think they could beat LSU three times in one year.

And of course Texas has the easiest path. They are playing in a Texas Regional...against Tennessee.

I think UCLA was the lowest 1 seed so you would think that they considered LSU the highest 2 seed? But because of Texas a SC may have shuffled a bit

I don’t think “lowest one, highest two” was considered, at least initially. Top priority was separating the SEC’s one seeds (SC and Texas) from the SEC two seeds (LSU and Vandy.)

While you might be right you would then have to then state the argument for Iowa or Michigan being the best 2 seed which I don’t see

Just looked at the brackets and LSU vs Baylor is a possibility in the sweet 16.

UConn was top 1 seed, followed by UCLA, Texas, South Carolina.

We don't know specifically the order of the 2 seeds. We do know this:

LSU is a higher 2 than Vandy because Vandy got paired with the best #1 seed UConn and LSU got paired with the 2nd best #1 (UCLA)

Also, it stands to reason that Iowa is a higher 2 than Michigan since Iowa was paired with the lower #1 (S. Carolina) and Michigan was paired with the higher #1 (Texas)

And this is true:

quote:

Top priority was separating the SEC’s one seeds (SC and Texas) from the SEC two seeds (LSU and Vandy.)

UConn-UCLA-Texas-Carolina, those are the #1 seeds in order. UCLA was the second #1 seed who many thought should be the first #1 seed based on having so many Q1 wins.

LSU was the highest #2 seed with Vandy the second highest.
