LSU Was Completely Outcouched Tonight

Alabama had answers for everything. Their scheme was superb
They put athletes on athletes and dominated
Even the last throw to Green was athletes on athletes.
It was easy to see that the Bama coaches were far more prepared than ours.

my bad
I watched the game from my desk instead of my couch. I'll do better the rest of the season

Dear lord, Wilson had so much room to run back that punt when it was 3-3; instead lets it bounce 20 extra yards.

What was the deal with Womack and stealing signals that they kept mentioning numerous times?

Kiffin got embarrassed by Deboer. What we saw is a little worrisome for going forward. I'm not going to write off Kiffin just yet, but that was bad. He had no feel for the game and it seemed like every decision he made was wrong.
Off the top of my head I can't think of one decision he made that was correct. I'm sure there were some, but it's not coming to me.

Should have kept BK!!! LK going to have the same record as last year. No difference just a Buffon at head coach with all his celebrities on the tiger walk!! What a circus this has turned into.

We outcoached ourselves. Bama did nothing special.
We drove down the field at will. We put up almost 500 yards and held them to 280. We had 27 first downs to their 13.
Not taking field goals and converting redzone/goal line opportunities lost this game

The IOL is so shite all they had to do in the redzome is blitz the a gap over and over and we couldn’t do shite.

100% agree.
Could've taken the points on three different opportunities. Instead LSU gets zero. I think Kiffiin over adjusted from his decision to not go for it on fourth in the Kentucky game.

I think after we missed that field goal made him go for more.

The decision making by Lane tonight was very erratic and it made very little sense.
quote:
1st Q tied 3-3 - 4th and 9 - 56 yard FG attempt.
This is fine. Too much to go for that early and misses happen from there. Move on.
quote:
2nd Q down 10-3 - 4th and 4 at Bama 9 - failed conversion
I fricking HATE coaches going for it on 4th and 4+ in a condensed field when it isn’t necessary. I say it over and over and over because coaches keep doing this dumb shite. Take the fricking points.
This is my only melt tonight. I really hate these coaches trying this.
quote:
3rd Q down 10 - 3 - 4th and 4 at Bama 31 - Made FG
I agree with taking the points, but, I mean, what is the logic here? We just went for it on 4th and 4 in a condensed field, which is much more difficult to convert. Why are we now kicking?
If you’re going to go for it on 4th and medium, this is the one to do it on. In a spot you can at least stretch the field and create some space.
The decision making is erratic.
quote:
3rd Q down 17-13 - 4th and 3 from Bama 31 - failed conversion
So we’re going for it again instead of making it a 1 point game? Why? Again, this doesn’t make sense. You literally just took points in this very quarter, from the exact same spot, got a stop and then took the lead.
Why are we not taking the points again?
^^^
This is where the game was lost IMO. Because after this failed conversion, LSU’s defense forced a 3 and out, but they flipped the field. LSU was pinned, also went 3 and out and the big return happened setting up a short TD drive. 24-13 and the game was essentially over.
quote:
4th Q down 24-13 - 4th and 10 from own 25 - Failed Conversion
Now we’re just in full blown meltdown.

Dude I’m tired and going to bed but ask for a big arse pay raise Monday morning. And be very concise about why you deserve it just like you were about Coach fricking the game away

Remember when Finebaum called Kiffin a child with the whole pro player saga and this board went up in flames?
Finebaum is correct. Kiffin is a childish self promoter who cares more about Kevin Costner on the bus than anything else. He never wins big games. He has never beat Bama. The same flake he’s always been.

Bama had two scores where our d missed bigtime. No one followed the tight end and no one followed the fastest man on the field for Bama.
Was that the coach or lack of recognition by the players?
