Yes SDSU is very good. Their outside center is the fastest player in college rugby. Former California State HS 100 M champion. He is already in the Eagle 7's pool.
They have a huge front row but LSU didn't seem to have a problem dealing with Utah's big forwards.
Their coaching staff is really good, US developmental director is their head coach, US strength and conditioning coord. coachess forwards and former Cal assistant coaches the backs.
LSU's back 3 will have to defend the kick. SDSU plays a lot of deep kicks and tries to create mistakes deep in the opposition's end. If LSU plays the counter attack well then they should be fine.
SDSU has a very basic offense. Get the ball to the outside center and let him run. That, and they kick a lot.

SD, good intel on SDSU. I would try to get that info to LSU, but they're gonna be right there watching the SDSU/Bowling Green game.
LSU, while undersized, does a good catch matching up with bigger teams. I play for the New Orleans Men's team, and our gameplan was to slow the game down and pound our bigger forwards. But LSU is very effective at the rucks given their smaller size.

I figured they would watch SDSU.
SDSU's entire philosophy is they kick away any negative ball (this comes directly from the former Cal coach). In other words, if they are going backwards in a tackle, ruck or loose play they will kick it away to try to get on the front foot.
It is a terrible style to play when you have such a fast player at OC.
I watched SDSU play Cal Poly and Alex Ross (outside center) only touched the ball 4 times...and scored 2 tries. One from about 50 meters and 2 guys had angles and he still beat them to the corner.

SDSU and Bowling Green tied 5-5.
Hopefully a real physical down to the wire match that wears the teams out.
eta: 12-5 SDSU now
