Anything better is going to be hard for them because they have Cal in their pool so they are fighting for 2nd in that pool with Ohio St and Penn St.
With a 2nd place finish in the pool you draw a hard match in the quarter's on day 2.
This team has an enormous amount of rugby talent they just lack some speed.
Not slow by any measure, just not blazing.
If they can just snakebite Cal.

Hey Guys,

Meathead here signed on for staub...he called and apologized about the lack of connection. Said the guys played hard but ultimately handling errors cost them the game. SDSU's backs were fantastic and capitalized on all our mistakes. Said we probably put the ball on the deck/passed behind the support 20+ times per half to SDSU's 5-7 the whole game. We all know you cant win a match like that. Said our backs easily moved the ball against theirs when we kept it in hand. Defensive pressure from SDSU wasnt great, we just didnt hold on to things. Forwards appeared to be fairly evenly matched in set piece and loose play.

Scotty, Mumbles, Red, Staub, and the boys wanted to send thanks out to everyone who helped the guys get out there this weekend. Never would have made it without the alumni support. He said the guys are pretty gutted and dissappointed rigt now.

Nevertheless,LSU and Ark States performances today were huge for Rugby in this part of the country and will only help out. LSU only losing a couple of seniors and have more experience filling in with more high school players coming to LSU next fall.

Ill be posting updates. I'm at home today and will be receiving calls every 10 minutes or so from ome of the coaches. Given USA Rugbys snafu yesterday, we figure it will be more accurate this way.
