I still have not gotten over the game 3 loss. I would have bet the bank on LSU not losing a game 3 super regional at night @ the Box.
I tend to agree, they were extremely talented.

Love the poster in the recent thread who called them Slippery Rock. Kinda says it all.

Chaminade over Texas last night was way more David beating Goliath.

*except to the LSU players that had to watch them congratulate the team that just beat them.

I'm extremely excited about this year. A lot to look forward to with all these new faces but with the main stable of guys coming back.
Two things that initially worry me:
1) it's going to be hard to reproduce the success we had in the SEC last year. I'm still kind of amazed we finished first with some of the deficiencies we had.
2) the West is going to be even better than it has ever been. With the addition of A&M, our division adds a powerhouse while the East adds a cupcake. Mizzou has such a weak baseball program, it's laughable. There are 5 teams in the West that can legitimately challenge for a regional host in LSU, Ole Miss, State, A&M, and Arky. I think Arky will be the best in the West this year with their stud starters coming back.

Very recently they went three straight years with a starting pitcher drafted in the first round.
They're not world beaters, but they're on par with Kentucky and probably better than Tennessee.

Yep. I chuckle when people are personally offended when LSU loses.
"How dare we not win a championship."

Program-wise, I guess you can compare Mizzou to UK, but last year UK was very impressive and had a lot of hitting talent.

Their pitching, after their ace, was absolutely awful. I respect their hitters, but we should have been able to hold their hitting down enough with our good arms to outscore them. Game 3 shoud have been an 8-7 or 9-6 type game.
Our hitting and base runner killed us.
