You gotta love this line.

quote:

Because of the BCS rule that only allows two teams from a conference to play in BCS bowls, there is a good chance the Tigers could wind up in one of the Florida bowls against a bowl-eligible Big Ten team that didn't win the conference title. If that's the case, move the game to HBO. I'm not sure a network or basic cable channel is allowed to show that level of carnage

We don't beat people bad, no need to worry for the Big10.

Obviously this guy doesn't do ANY research and doesn't realize that the SEC is only 5-5 against the Big 10 in both the Cap One and the Outback Bowls the past ten years. Even though the SEC team has been heavily favored in most, the Big 10 has held their own. You can say the SEC team really didn't want to be there, but regardless it's not like we've been dominating the Big 10 in the Florida bowls.

The last two New Years' Days have been laughable in SEC-Big-10 matchups. Surely you aren't suggesting the conferences are equal in terms of football prowess.

This year, two of their top teams are ineligible so the matchups will be even more uneven.

The difference here is that you're talking about the past and he's talking about the future.

The Mississippi State/Bama slaughterings of the Michigan schools were one of the more amusing things I have witnessed in bowl games.

Especially Bama's rape and pillage of Mich. State. Knocked out 2 of their QB's
