Man, I forgot how bad we beat that arse for most of the game. Bama got 3 pretty cheap scores—punt return where facemask sprung Waddle, pass where they tricked Stingley into looking in the backfield, and the bomb with 1:30 left when the game was over.

Delpit also still wasn’t right in this game. He missed 3 or 4 tackles behind the line of scrimmage that would have led to 3rd and long or 4th down.

turned a 6 point game into a 20 point game in seemingly a heartbeat... and Bama was really chasing after that point
quite frankly Bama was lucky the halftime deficit wasn't worse... their 2 TDs came on a broken punt return (McMath's grasp of the returner's facemask actually helped turn the returner to where the LSU coverage wasn't) and a big pass play b/c the D was caught looking at the sideline for coaching instructions at the snap
