How many votes did Alabama and OSU get in your text. No offense, but I don't trust your buddy to do math. He may have just seen AL was #2 in Harris

So it's pretty apparent that ESPN put Bama in by campaigning for them all day yesterday and allowing Saban to appear and plead his case all day. If I'm Ok St. I'd raise every kind of hell about that.
Oh well - they want another shot, we'll give it to them. It won't be a 3 point loss this time.

Yea. I don't see how anyone can say Bama is in without seeing the Wolfe.
I just find it hard to believe Bama would be 50+ points ahead of OSU.

Sources outta of Tuscaloosa say Alabama and Nick Sabanto be on the BCS show tonight

Who are the sources claiming Bama got Wolfe's poll? Is it just one person that a bunch of people keep retweeting?

I say give Bama and OSU a game in two weeks, and let the winner face LSU on Jan. 9th.

I'm sure Gundy will be on it too and Miles.

There are almost 2x as many Harris Poll voters as Coaches. Thus 2x as many points. So if Alabama is up 32 in the Coaches that would translate to 64 in the Harris (Alabama was up 300+ last week, obviously that will change drastically). I expect the Harris to be closer (proportionately) than the Coaches, but it's not inconceivable Alabama is up 50+.

It appears Alabama got enough votes in the Harris to remain at 2

Will Herbstreit be there, too? You know, to perform a live sex act.

SI writer tweeted it based on an email. Unless the email came from Wolfe himself (and it couldn't have been), I don't understand how it can be trusted.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Wolfe rumors were just a big pile of steaming dog shite?

On one hand I'm happy for Bama - it guarantees at least a share of the title for LSU.
Posted on 12/4/11 at 1:54 pm to Crimsonsaint24
nobody knows that for sure.

It's great reading you and Myshkin's evaluations.
It's clear both of you understand the BCS formula and base your posts on fact, rather than opinion.
Specualtion is out of control today and it's difficult to sift through all the BS. I'm glad that we have 2 people who "get it" on this board.

Given that OSU takes 4 of 6 computers and including the Coaches poll:
60 of 115 voters would have to vote OSU 2nd and no lower than 3rd
If, for instance, 10 voters have OSU 4th on their ballot (7 coaches did, btw), then OSU needs 5 more votes swung their way. 65 of 115 in that case.
There's the simple math.
