Why does Alabama recieve any points for playing a NONE FBS school?

This is what I've been asking the whole time. GSU is, I think, 10-2...but they're FCS.

That tool on ESPN says they need to be #2 by 5 points

I'm not sure but that seems like a really negligible amount.

Not 5 votes, just 5 points

Do you have any idea why OSU lost 0.057 points in the Wolfe last week? It seems like that may end up being the difference. KState also lost 0.037 points when they were off. Can't really understand what happened to the Big 12 for them to lose.

If this is true, then how can this system be defended at this point?

The BCS will change its slogan from "Every Game Counts" to "Every Vote Counts."

Les Miles may cast the deciding vote.

It can't

If Bama gets in the BCS is officially busted IMO

Any attempt to fix it will be met with fierce outcry from the public

bring on the playoffs

Miles should leave Bama out of his poll. How funny would that be if that was the deciding factor?

Ok, so say it is 4/6 OSU (other two go bama) in the computer, coaches poll is out, then what are the numbers needed or votes for OSU in the Harris?

37.5% of a combined coaches and harris, correct?

Has Massey and Wolfe both been confirmed Bama. I know Wolfe is rumored so far by Andy S.

That is my understanding as well.

Les Miles will vote Bama. He HAS to do the right thing.

Agreed. If he votes Alabama lower than #3 he will be inviting retaliation from Alabama in the future. In this scenario, a single coach does in fact have the power to throw the #2 BCS ranking to Oklahoma State by leaving Alabama off its ballot, but the blowback and controversy would be too much.

it's really incredible when you think about it

Bama was decided to be in it 2 weeks ago by ESPN

Just 2 weeks after they lost at home...they were back in while OSU and the rest of the country just lives offf the left overs.

Rigged is obvious rigged

5 points, not 5 votes. I'm not sure how many votes that equates to, though
