any poller would be fired from it for obviously gaming the system.
Yet this piece of shite can still keep his voting job?
""Washington Times reporter Patrick Stevens, who didn't get to watch much of Saturday's games due to work obligations, said he will vote Alabama No. 2 "by a nose."

LSU got a bump of roughly .30 for the Arkansas win, so the same bump would put Oklahoma State ahead of Alabama. The big issue is Arkansas was #4 at the time in this computer poll when we beat them, OU is #10.
Bama got a 0.21 bump for bating Auburn, who was 20th. If OSU gets somewhere slightly higher than in the middle of what LSU/BAMA got, they would still trail.
I'm curious what happens with Bama being idle. OSU fell 0.057 points last week. Kansas St. was also idle and fell 0.037 points. Both are from the Big 12 but I wonder if Bama loses anything this week. If they do, it should be very close.

From Darren Rovell's twitter:
Boone Pickens says he's going to start making calls to charter planes from Stillwater to New Orleans for the BCS title game.

Boone should have been rallying way before today or yesterday if he wanted to persuade anyone. ESPN slobbing on Bama yesterday all but sealed the deal. That was the most disgusting style of sports journalism I've seen in a long time. No objectivity at all.

Boone also said he's got reservations at the Holiday Inn Express. I seriously hope that's a joke.

LSUMatt needs to be included in the creation of a New BCS formula.
He knows more about any of these computers and voters and formulas than anyone else on this site and I would say anyone in the media as well.
He seems to be pretty smart.

@jppalm based on current computer projections (OSU 2 in 4 of 6), OSU must now pass Bama in Harris poll by 5 points to be #2 overall.

Ok 5 points. What are the chances now?

So OKST will have to be #2 in the Harris?
Posted on 12/4/11 at 11:43 am to purplepylon
isn't Harris where they were expected to make up the most ground.?
Posted on 12/4/11 at 11:45 am to MoreOrLes
Thats what i was thinking and when i saw the coaches poll come out I was a little surprised at how much ground OSU gained.
Posted on 12/4/11 at 11:46 am to MoreOrLes
Yeah. Coaches are less likely to move teams around.
Posted on 12/4/11 at 11:46 am to MoreOrLes
I expect it to be close, but to completely pass Bama, I don't know that is a tall order.
Posted on 12/4/11 at 11:47 am to TigerMan02
is Palm saying they need to gain 5 points or be #2 ahead of bama by 5 points? They will def make up ground but if Okie has to be #2 then tide is looking good at moment

From Twitter:
The AP poll (not included in BCS) has #Alabama at 2, separated from #OklahomaState by 18 points (1418 to 1400)

Looks like Wolfe goes narrowly to Bama making it harder for Okie state. But the Harris would be the exact place for anti-SEC/ESPN lobbying backlash to be expressed.
Reading between the lines here, it looks like BAMA by a tiny fraction. If Wolfe goes Okie though, it swings back towards Okie state.
