Matt, can you explain this to me, something I never understood:
So, MOV was taken out of the equation a long time ago, I've always understood it that way, at least.
So, that being said, using Sagarin as an example with Bama/OSU(this can go for any other computer poll or set of teams), how can Bama be ranked ahead of OSU with the 23rd ranked SOS while OSU has the 6th ranked SOS.
I guess more to the point, if no MOV and obviously not SOS, what is the factor that propels Bama over OSU in that specific example.

LSU got a bump of roughly .30 for the Arkansas win, so the same bump would put Oklahoma State ahead of Alabama. The big issue is Arkansas was #4 at the time in this computer poll when we beat them, OU is #10.
The OU loss to Baylor really hurt Oklahoma State in this poll. I think that it made the difference if indeed Bama is still #2.

Because Sagarin is a ridiculous poll that follows no logic. That is the only real answer I can give.
