This is true......but by his own data.........it correlates into ERROR.
Or corruption! With no outside checks, who's to say some of these computer polls aren't being swayed by outside influences?

If I'm reading things correctly, it appears that both LSU and Okalhoma State got a bump in Sagarin's computer, but Oklahoma State didn't get enough of a bump to jump Alabama. Alabama actually lost ground this weekend.
ELO_Chess is what matters for BCS. OSU went from 97.18 to 97.81, Bama dropped .07 points. LSU actually lost points, while Georgia gained them (and moved from 14th to 11th).

I feel bad for OSU. They never had a chance yesterday.

1. If Bama has much more than a 30 vote gap in the Coaches poll, Bama should be in
WoW! I bet there is some backroom dealings right now amongst coaches to work against BAMA.

So just so everyone is clear on this....
Before last weeks games OSU was ahead of Bama in all the computer polls. Bama beat number 20 something Auburn and jumped to number 2 with OSU idle.
This weeks games saw OSU beat the number ten team in the country with Bama idle. In two of the computer polls it changed nothing about the rankings.
SO:
In two of the computer polls a win over a 7-5 Auburn team is worth more than a win over a 9-2 Oklahoma team.
Not sure I understand how that's a good computer formula.

This. If I'm an OK Stat fan, I'm raising some serious hell, or at least call T. Boone

That's interesting, was OU ranked ahead of AU in both of those polls? If so that makes no sense.

Thoughts?
ngs, Week 15: Computer Rankings Could Split On Oklahoma State, Alabama While the full, official set of 2011 BCS standings won't be available until Sunday night, we can still start to get a look at what the computers are thinking. Each of the systems publishes their rankings on their own, but all on their own time, and so far, it's looking like the Oklahoma St. Cowboys are indeed going to have to hope their win over the Oklahoma Sooners wowed the humans, because about half of of the machines aren't buying it.
Jeff Sagarin's ELO_Chess ratings, the one of his various systems that the BCS uses, has the Alabama Crimson Tide still in line to play the LSU Tigers, along with a doting check-in by the three-loss Sooners:
LSU
Alabama
Oklahoma State
Oklahoma
Stanford
Peter Wolfe also slots Bama ahead of OK State, and it's nice of the Arkansas Razorbacks to keep an eye on the all-SEC party, but who invited them?
LSU
Alabama
Oklahoma State
Arkansas
Kansas State
Jeff Andersen and Chris Hester haven't published as of yet, but last week they had the Pokes ahead of the Tide, and that was before one of OSU's better wins of the season during a Bama bye week.
Last week's Billingsley Report rankings had the Cowboys just a hair behind Alabama, but that seems likely to change.
The Colley Matrix also hasn't been updated yet, but Oklahoma State has a very good chance to take it as well.
And the one of which Alabama fans will approve, the Massey Ratings, had OSU No. 4 behind the Oregon Ducks last week. That will change, but probably not enough for the Tide to be overtaken.

So Bama having 3 computers means OSU would need what percentage of voters now? At 2 computers it was 37.5% apparently...

one Harris voter is doing the right thing
this guy covers East Carolina. I believe that the majority of voters outside the southeast will cast a "NO REMATCH" vote
same for a writer from Oregon: LINK
