We should always throw it to Robert Royal in overtime.

Best game that I ever attended. (I wasn't at the Florida game in '97 or '07)

I was on the field around the goal line during that whole OT. Was looking for myself in that video.
I'll never forget that game, awesome

Only if we give it to tommy banks first. Even though he graduated by then.

Coolest thing about the game is how the students were literally standing on the white lining of the field by the end of the game and the refs were just ok with it and kept the game going. If that happened now the administration/ncaa/referees would have an aneurysm until everyone was back in the stands That would've been such a cool thing to experience.

Saban said we shouldnt rush the field. We should start to expect to win games like that.

It is the process.

This game ushered in the Modern Era Of LSU Football, whereby winning became not only the ACCEPTED standard, but the ONLY standard.

The curious thing bout this game was that it not only came just one Saturday after one of the most humiliating losses in LSU history, but that the Tennessee players were disrespecting LSU's legendary home field advantage during the week before the game and openly said that "Tiger Stadium no longer should be considered a feared venue for opposing teams".

My first game. I was 12 and took some of the Tiger eye to transplant at home.

Ugh, wrong. I distinctly remember the smell of arse funk on that field when we rushed it, and I jumped on Tommy Banks' back. Of course that smell of funk could have been from all the spliffs lighting up on the field while they were trying to tear down the goalposts Tommy Banks was definitely playing that game though

Loved the footage of Chief in the box looking pissed after a score. What a turd.

I was at that game. It was awesome. Josh Reid was so fun to watch, and Ro Davey was a warrior. I've never seen a QB take that kind of beating and stay in the game and throw dart after dart with a guy in his face.

I was there. Was wild and crazy all game. Stadium was shaking. One of the best ever. Great OT finishing. My boy DAVEY TO ROYAL and the nice red zone stop after in the north end.

Yep tore down both goalposts that game after rushing field. The Bama
Game field was rushed and only north end zone golpista came
Down. Cops protected south goal posts.

Both goal posts were protected after field was rushed against auburn in 2001 fornthe West.

That offense was so much fun (defense was meh). Love the shot of Chavis crossing his arms after another TD pass!
