This. Leads me to the conclusion that half the people on this site probably can't read and didn't attend LSU. If they are going to complain about logos that are appearing on children's clothes, they really have a problem. If my kids like it, I'm buying it for them. Grown men crying over kids clothing. Guess they don't want kids apparel to look "cartoonish." This board is just littered with idiots.

I think the new logo w the beanie and toonces DJ hands is the greatest single logo that will ever be made to represent the university.

The profile strip tiger has been on a southern tide polo for maybe a year or six months. I'm assuming since it was not an lsu trademark clothing vendors where able to use it with out it being licensed. Only makes since if clothing companies are using it to sell to lsu fans, it should be trademarked so it has to licensed and lsu gets it cut of it.
The other ones are fine for kids clothes. Not enough people read on these boards and just flip out.

Yes I talked to the Manager of LSU Sports Properties today and he said the new logos are for kid's items. They wanted something to closely resemble Mike's costume so I guess maybe it does.

Please let this be true! This is the day I have been waiting for! In the early 80s they tried to force that logo of all the small tigers pulling Mike's cage with "All together now, Gooooooooo Tigers!" as a caption. (Dad, a 1954 grad', became ill when he first saw this one.)
Fortunately, it died a quick death. By similar measure, Toonces should go the way of Hatshepsut and be erased from history for millenia to come.
(Yes, I still have an unopened packet of these paper placemats from 1983.)
