LSU tops staff pay for the fourth straight year

I had been seeing posts on this site saying "false" after people made the claim that LSU had the highest paid staff in the country this year. It looks like it is true.
I also believe that LSU is the only school that pays two coordinators over a million bucks. Rarefied air.

So Lane Kiffin makes a little over $900,000 less than Cam Cameron. Jeff Scott and Tony Elliott combined make $670,000 less than Cam.

There was absolutely no demand for Kevin Steele as a DC but yet we still made him the 9th highest paid assistant in college football. Who makes these decisions?

If Venables didn't get a raise because of LSU, he would have made more than he did.

Well, all I know is in January of 2012 they exercised their leverage to get huge raises across the board. I guess now they should be clamoring to give it back.

He had no business getting that job. Saban threw him a life preserver. The Lane Kiffin effect is failing upward constantly and always getting an undeserved safety net. Good on Saban for recognizing a bargain, though.

No because other teams pay based on merit and give you an incentive to a better job. We just pay people based on if their steaks are butterflied well.
