it looks like the LSU ticket office is only selling the upper rows of the 300 level as single game purchases. Lower 300 level tickets can only be bought as part of the ticket packages.

LSU needs to just let people buy any available tickets and stop trying to force people into buying ticket packages. It obvious those seats included in the packages typically don't sell. If LSU wants the place packed, make it easy for people to come to a game without making people commit to 3 or 4 games.

LSU ticket office, get your heads out of your asses. The money will come, but the program needs to build interest first.

It’s kind of sad for baseball that LSU basketball somehow still makes more money.

Operating cost for a 3 game series is pretty high for baseball considering the tickets are really cheap.

while I agree with your post, just quit bitching and get to the game. If you want to sit lower, move to a better vantage point after the under 16 minute timeout.

OR.......

get season tickets like me and avoid having to complain about silly shite. do you know how to run an athletic department? uh no

I bought 2 season tickets for 200.00.
2 tickets for Auburn and Tennessee was going to be like 120.00 so it was a no brainer to just go ahead and buy the whole season.

Doesn’t the SEC tournament revenue and NCAA tournament money account for this?

Thanks for you lsu super fan tough guy response, but I have season tickets. Its the casual basketball fan that LSU acts like they wants to attract, but do the opposite when they force people into buying ticket packages.

And I wonder how much of a factor it is that MBB shares the same arena with other sports...WBB, Gym, Volleyball. On a per sport basis, Baseball has fully fund the operational costs for it's venue.

Also, Mens Basketball (nationwide) is still many, MANY times more popular than college baseball. I'm sure that allows LSU to ask for higher ad rates

Finally, the baseball team has what, 40 players? The basketball team only has 15 or so.

TV money. No one really cares about college baseball nationwide, unfortunately.

It’s 55 dollars per ticket and you get tickets to four basketball games including 1 of the two big home games. That’s not a bad deal and it’s 2019 if you can’t make one of the other 3 games you can sell the ticket on stub hub or something.

Not sure if it’s blanked out because of ticket packages or what but there are only 8 tickets left in the 200 level according to the map and less then 100 in the 3 sections at half court on either side in the upper level

I go to one or two select games per season living out of town. I buy on secondary market and sit where I want

I don't care much to hear any complaining about this. Season tickets in the uppers are only 100-300 dollars for 20ish games each year. Not much to support your alma mater or favorite team. If you jump on the bandwagon you deserve it. As a friend of mine once said, "most of us say we are tigers fans, some of us actually are."

Gonna be a lot of complaining when LSU goes to the tournement a couple years in a row and it’s going to be 50 dollars a ticket minimum for one game.

I know this off topic however, I wanted to take my granddaughter to a lady’s baseball game but the only tickets available were, Obstructed view (sitting behind the TV camera) or out in left field. I watch the game on TV, with my granddaughter, half the Stands were empty.

Right, because I suppose everyone can afford to fork over the money for season tickets, right?

It isn't rocket science. You let people pay for what they want to see. If that means that certain seats aren't going to sell, then so be it. Let the program earn back the fans.

It's a guarantee that if you DON'T give fans the courtesy and respect of letting them buy single game tickets, then you will slow the process of momentum considerably.

I've always marveled at how people point fingers at this basketball fan base, and talk about how "great" other fan bases are. Do you think there was such a thing as the "Cameron Crazies" before Krzyzewski? The point is that there isn't a place in this country where you can find a rabid fan base that just sprang up out of thin air. They were all created by some period of success. Just look at LSU baseball. We've lead the nation in attendance for some 25 years in a row. Before Bertman, nobody gave a crap.

You can't strong arm people. That's just not how it works.

They are doing it exactly the way they are supposed to. This is the most basic concept when selling tickets to events and setting your org up for success long term.

I'm sorry, but you're going to have to present a comparable business model, and show me how it succeeded, in order for me to buy that.

It's a good strategy when you HAVE a lot of fans. Because people who want to go to games, generally will like the multi-game packages. And, as a matter of fact, I encourage them to give that option for anyone who DOES want it. But to take seats and not give the option of single game tickets for them is ridiculous, ESPECIALLY when you should just be trying to get people to the games, at all, at this point. That's where LSU is, right now. But they don't seem willing to accept that fact.

It's an impatient approach, and just not smart.
