The team is still ultra talented and can run as far without wade as they can with him at this point.
This might even inspire them.

That's not whats happening. If so, Wade would be fired.
He's still under contract. I'm not sure this is the best way of handling it but Wade is the one who screwed up here.
My thought was he should complete the season, but I'm not privy to the information Alleva might have.
Yes it is exactly what is happening. Alleva and F. King Allexander are spineless pushovers. I will admit that the situation does not look good for Wade and Alleva migh have more information than what the public has in which case I will eat my hat. However, at the moment there is not enough public information to confirm that he broke NCAA rules.
They are caving to the media outrage and are just trying to cover their arse, but it will not be enough because the NCAA is still going to drop the hammer on LSU if Wade is guilty. If Wade, didn't break any rules then LSU would more than likely be screwed out of a deep tournament run and have a young and attractive coach that other schools will try to hire away. We already know that Alleva will not get into a bidding war to get or keep a coach, and do you think that Wade will stay loyal to LSU when the school president and AD have proven that "they do not stand behind you" when the shite hits the fan. Either way the men's bball program is screwed, but if Alleva and F. King Alexander had a spine then at least we would get to enjoy a deep tournament run before the NCAA goes in dry.

We are still going to play, the talent is still there. This season is far from over.

NCAA lost their shite when we beat Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida.
Uh no they didn't

The release of this wiretap isnt coincidental.
Of course it's not. One trial has concluded, another is starting in a month.

Who believes the NCAA hasn’t seen the taps on all these other programs?

Suspending wade and not smart is proof this was done out of fear for the media
It’s hilarious

I bet Alleva is excited that he doesn't have to update the PMAC now.

This is crazy.......

Which is why he suspended a coach that could force LSU to forfeit games.
LSU would have to forfeit every game Javonte Smart has played in this year. Suspending Wade to avoid Forfeitures is pointless now. Especially if you aren't going to sit Smart down as well. This suspension is pointless without suspending Smart as well. He is just as responsible for this as Wade is.

Exactly. It makes no sense not to suspend Smart if you’re going to suspend Wade. My brain hurts.

Alleva doesnt back coach/players and fires coach
Do you really really really believe that Wade and Javonte Smart are guiltless in this?

Smoke clears and they are found innocent
That very well might happen, it might. But it will not be because they were falsely accused. It will be that the NCAA couldn't prove anything.

It is the right thing to do. It stinks that this happened at all. But most grown ups know there are consequences for our actions. I hope Will Wade is exhonorated by the end of whatever investigation is done. But if not, LSU must remain clear of scandal. LSU is bigger than Will Wade.

The LSU administration are dumbasses. This suspension is just dumb. Ride this out and make your decision at the end of the season. This type of leadership is why we keep losing. If you don’t think every other program is cheating you are delusional.

frick Will Wade for putting LSU in this position. fricking embarrassing
frick the player and his family too right? They are just as guilty and responsible.

Anybody that didn’t see this coming is looking through some serious LSU goggles

CAA isnt even investigating. Also they have never done this in any sport in their history.
Exactly. The only thing I can see happening is LSU getting a lower seed due to losing Wade and possibly Smart. Like a Kenyon Martin type deal. Minus LSU wasn't a projected #1 seed.

Explain to me and the rest of the level headed folks on this site how this is "Duke Lacrosse all over again."
A spineless AD acts/reacts in response to national media pressure regardless of any concept of fairness or due process, staining the accused with a patina of guilt because of his lack of a backbone. An action that was back up by an equally feckless university administration.
AD in both cases?
Joe Alleva.

Plain as day. Amazed at this reaction. The guy is filthy.
