I'm not calling the 2013 offense bad, but it wasn't "record breaking". Even if you look at just 2013 (not all time), it was good. Good not great, unless you call 24 teams in the country great.

We also play a ball control clock control offense, so scoreing offense isn't the most accurate statistic. We are not going to average as many points as A&M or Baylor but at the same time, we have a defense and our goal is to us both to control a ball game. Thats how you beat A&M 34-10.

We ran clock against Auburn and A&M when up 21-10 and 21-0 at half time.

You guys keep posting this like it means something. The LSU offense finished 24th in the nation in SCORING OFFENSE. That means that 23 other teams, that don't have 5 NFL starters this weekend, scored more points than LSU.

You keep posting this like it means something. The teams that win championships rarely have the best offense. Just ask Peyton Manning. Defense still wins championships. Les could have the best offense in the world and it still wouldn't be ranked number 1. He doesn't want that. He wants to control the clock and, therefore, control the game. He will never try to lead the nation on offense, even if he could.

Please don't post that complaint again. It shows a lack of understanding of what a good offense actually is.

With that kind of talent, did LSU underachieve in 2013

If you remember back 7-10 years ago that was the beginning of the end for Bobby Bowden.

Welter on last year's defense was equally as devastating as it was early this year.

at least five (six if Foster doesn't play) LSU rookies are starting in the NFL this week. On offense. Mett, OBJ, Jarvis, Hill, Trai Turner, and maybe Blue.

Shite is mind boggling, ain't it.

I mean no offense to the 2013 team, but in all my years of watching LSU football (Since 2000), I think they under achieved the most. It's not often you see an LSU squad that can put up offensive #'s like that.

Ole Miss and Bama could have very well went our way, but they didn't. Now I feel as if we are getting a little accustomed to these tough losses.

Future is bright though.

2013 had a horrifying defense the whole year, so it didn't underachieve.

2006 underachieved. 2012 underachieved.

Same shite every year. Tired of hearing that. A broken record. And if they lose a couple of games next season, what will you say then?? Future looks bright again.

These talent rich teams always underachieve under Miles.
