It's stupid. The days of QBs staying at a school for 4 years are over. He should have taken the chance to start in a nationally televised game and establish himself as a contender for next year. Saving the redshirt is pointless.

Few stay 4 years much less 5 years anymore, so I don't see the point of the redshirt with Walker Howard coming in.

Next year will be Brennans 6th year at LSU. The QB room has been a revolving door at LSU for 5 years. Parrish - transferred. Narcisse - transferred. Scott - transferred. Finley - transferred. Johnson - transferred. After next year its Howard & Nuss moving forward. He would be stupid to waste a year for a low tier bowl game. Lets face it, Myles is injury prone. No guarantee he is fully healthy and ready to start next Sept. Lets hope he is but if not its Nuss starting vs FSU in the Dome.

What a Dickhead to make a statement like this! The kid would have to forego a whole year of eligibility to do what you want him to do. It's his life, not yours.

Didn’t Joe Burrows 5th year make him the #1 pick? I could be wrong, but I thought it was the 5th year. Especially for a QB, it’s not crazy to want to preserve the redshirt, simply to maximize your development time and be sure you’re entering the draft at the most opportune time.

I made a post 3 weeks ago saying we had no scholarship QBs available for the bowl game and so many of these rant trolls attacked me for it.
