Not really. I do think we were better than our record though. That opening stretch did a number on a young team that hadn't quite gelled yet. Moo State, at Tennessee, then Vandy is rough. They honestly looked mentally broken after those 3 series. Confidence is a big thing in sports and even 1 series win in those 3 would've helped a ton.

No use crying over spilled milk though.

Does that ease the pain any for tiger fans

That soft emotional &uss? Yankee is gone. Can we please get away from his ways and thoughts. Hell no it shouldn’t ease anything because it shows how far LSU has fallen as a program. We got destroyed by the SEC teams that made Omaha. Please god stop and let the Pawl way of thinking that infected and destroyed a national power die. PLEASE

We would have needed Poche, Lange, and Cabrera in the line up to even make it close….

All of these teams in Omaha are Ballin

Pitching mis-management and dumbass lineup tinkering had nothing to do with the team being young.

There was more in this team than CPM got out of them... quite a bit more.

Kinda my thoughts. I get the tinkering early on. But the wildly erratic lineup changes late in the season were mesmerizing.

I don't think CPM was some baseball lost cause but he never knew this team. And we never saw what the ceiling was.

Other than the rocky start,

So if LSU loses to UCLA, A&M, and Bama next year, we all good? I mean, when youre not the best, its OK to feel good about losing to the best, amirite?

Who are you referring to? Mainieri? I don’t think he was a yankee - born in West Virginia and raised in Miami.

Paul just enjoy your retirement. We don't need your excuses anymore.

He never needed to extend himself conjuring up one of them.

He had more than enough easy to please, smitten, eager polly-annas to flood the boards with excuses for him.

If you cant tell the difference between football and baseball, then IDK what to tell you.

The better team in football wins at least 80% of the time, just due to being bigger, stronger and faster.

Baseball is a different animal. Anything can happen. A pitcher can have a bad game.

No, 1-8 isn’t good no matter who the opponent is in baseball. McNeese st. could go 1-8 against those teams. There is no consolation except winning next time.

After watching the regionals and supers, Lsu is/was a good team this year. Lsu just happens to be in the best baseball conference, top to bottom. In any other conference Lsu would be at the top for the most part. New blood at the helm now. The past is HISTORY.

No. We should be in the CWS every year.
