Well, year 2 was pretty freaking phenomenal and last year was pretty good too, so I'm good with that considering what we were under Trent and Johnny.

First 3 years of Wade we have averaged 193rd in the country in opponent 3pt percentage. Even worse, we are 277th in the country in made threes per game allowed during that same timespan.
Until Wade admits his defensive philosophy just doesn’t work and is outdated it doesn’t matter how talented the players are, this team won’t win anything of true significance.

No. According to him it doesn't get you an automatic bid, thus it is of no significance. So, that means the only significant games LSU plays in basketball don't start till the SEC Tournament. Which I find odd, because there is a whole lot of complaining about a game with zero significance.

A regular season championship is much more significant than a tournament championship. The regular season champion is going to get an invite every time and it shows consistent quality vs a team getting hot for a few days.
The automatic bid thing is just an incentive for teams to play their best in order to present a better TV product. It's simply a money grab. It has nothing to do with competition.

For our program? Sure it is.
But that’s kind of the point. You think Kentucky, Duke, other top programs are playing for regular season titles?
Hell no, their aspirations and goals are much bigger than that. And going back to the original point, this program won’t compete for anything more than regular season titles until they fix their defensive issues.
Again. True significance. Regular season titles have significance, but things like wins in the tournament is what matters.
