He's deliberately positioned where he's on camera, and is too close to the batters box. That tells me he's just marketing himself.
I wouldn't want him potentially distracting my hitters, or my pitcher, for that matter.
Move farther back in the stands and fire up the fans. The players attention is on the opposition and the coaches.

His sister plays in the outfield or second base can’t remember her name. They’re from Georgia though, I think he’s pretty funny. Met him a few yrs back at a tailgate..
