That tells you how poor the hitting instruction was, do you believe any player on this team is as good as Jayquish, Landry, Bell, Andrew’s?? The hitting guy did an incredible job
4 elite hitters in 10 years, most of those being gone for about 10 years. Are you related to Howard Dobson?

Hodge wouldn't have played at Oklahoma this year.

i think beth needs to slightly adjust better going for the long ball hitters. She likes fast outfielders which is great. sometimes you gotta negotiate with bigger bats. Reudety has been a fine player but would have been nice if she developed more power throughout her career.

Doesn't her brother play on the Football team? That helps a lot.

Do you think Hodge is better player than Pleasants? Newland ? Gueterriz? Briggs? And before them World Series teams…this is 100% the least talented roster
You’re comparing one of the worst offensive players in the lineup to the best from prior years. Pleasants wasn’t the same player after her injuries, Bergeron is as good as Newland, Coffey as good as Briggs, and Edwards as good as Gutierrez. Now compare the bottom of the order in prior years to this one. Regardless of “talent”, this year’s team has performed better offensively than any in a long time. That’s what matters.

Pitching this yr was problem in SEC play, Berzon as Inconsistent in conference play and Heavener gave up too many free passes with walks/hit batters, she just seemed to struggle with control during conference play, Berzon stuff was just not as good as her 1st 2 yrs, hitting was good most conference games but timely hitting wasn’t, too many runners left on base

At no moment during that game was there any indication that LSU would win. Just a different (lower) level of play - but then almost all of the SEC is right there with them
It’s hard to generalize based on one game. LSU looked completely outclassed in Game 1 against Florida, then came back to win the series.

Your right this is the greatest roster in LSU history, I’m just wondering why no Team USA players off of it like Pleasants, Briggs, Bell, Jayquish, Hoover, Andrew’s? Why not multiple AA players? Edwards will be AA but that’s it.

You think Oklahoma gave her a softball scholarship because her brother is on the football team? Where do some of you come up with this
Also just because she wouldn’t start at OU, doesn’t take away the fact they wanted her. That alone should speak to her talent level.

Bigger, stronger players is what wins like OU, Texas and Florida

No one is saying this is the best roster in school history. You’re the one spouting off about how terrible they are when every metric of success tells you otherwise.

LSU beat Florida 2/3 and was five outs away from sweeping Texas.

Who made you the judge of the softball posts?
I'm simply making an observation that you typically only show up when LSU loses/trails in a softball game.

Again, you laugh at my career, but you haven't said anything about what you do for a living.
I do, because I think it's comical that a coach at, or above, the high school level would make a claim that LSU won't win another conference game with 3 weeks of the season left. Or would go out of their way to blame every bad thing on Torina but give the credit for all the good to someone else.

TB, I said it was the least gifted roster, doesn’t mean they didn’t play up to their talent. They were outclassed by OU, not really close in talent. To me, Neal deserves the credit for maximizing their talent.

I'm talking about Tori Edwards brother on the LSU football team.
As for Hodge: You think she would have started at OU this year? There is a reason she transferred from OU to LSU.
I have nothing against Hodge. She is what I expected. Good defensively and an average single's type hitter.

Never claimed I coached on a College level. Also, never said they won't win another game in the SEC.
At that point in the season, Bama beat them in game 3 at home, they just got swept at A @ M and lost the first game to Texas. They had lost 5 in a row and had two games left against Texas, 3 against Florida, and 3 against Arkansas.
Those 3 teams were in the top 5. I said,"they lost 5 in a row and with their schedule could lose 13 in a row. But, I think they can take one from Florida because it was at home".
I guess you predicted they would win all those games? If so, I was closer in my prediction than you.
I just have a problem with you calling out posters when you don't agree with them. And, you haven't answered what years did you attend LSU. That's not a problem if you didn't attend. Just wondering what age you are that I'm arguing with.

That is what Beth brings you. Regional win and lose in Supers. If that's Ok with Scott, she will be here forever. If he decides he wants something more, he will find someone else.

I’m not suggesting it’s the best, simply that you are exaggerating the talent level on prior teams. You are taking the best players across a decade worth of teams and comparing them to one season’s roster. The top level talent on this team may not match the top level talent for an entire decade, but the roster is deeper than it has been in a long time.

Oh damn, you mean it's dumb to assemble a football team with Jayden and Burrow and compare it to Nuss/the 2024 team?

Even if you choose to ignore her 4 WCWS appearances, how many current coaches have multiple appearances since LSU last went? Getting there one time is often luck as much as skill. Stanford rode one great pitcher to 2 appearances. That’s not coaching. Oklahoma, Florida, Florida St, UCLA, Oklahoma St, and Alabama are, and have been, dominant. Washington made it multiple times but only once in the last 4 years. Candrea retired at Arizona. That’s it. No one else is regularly making WCWS appearances.
