Sanchez joins the Tigers after three stellar seasons of play with the Missouri Tigers of the SEC. A 2018 SEC All-Defensive team selection, Sanchez served as one of Missouri’s most consistent and dangerous hitters over her time in Columbia. This season she reset single-season career-highs in average (.374), runs scored (31), doubles (10), on-base percentage (.500) and slugging percentage (.671).

The West Covina, California native finished fourth among the SEC in on-base percentage, tied for ninth in average (.374) and slugging percentage (.671), and tied for 10th in home runs (12). She capped off the 2018 season on a terror at the NCAA Norman Regional, hitting .417 (5-for-12) with three runs scored, two home runs and six RBI.

Sanchez made an instant impact in her first season in Columbia, hitting .347 as a freshman to go along with 14 home runs and 56 RBI, earning her a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team. She remained consistent as a sophomore, hitting .354 with six home runs and 42 RBI.

Their coach was fired right before this past season, almost half the team has now transferred

Their administration treated their team like crap

I am anxious to see what the infield looks like next year, you add Amanda Sanchez who I assume will take over 2B duties

Georgia Clark is a top power hitting recruit is on the way as well.

Going to be interesting....

Multiple kids will have to be benched/moved to get the best bats in the lineup

Surely dobson’s last chance to put together a top hitting team. He’s earned one more year, but that’s about it if we’re mediocre again

Yea substancial changes are needed at the plate.

Good news is the underclassmen will be a year older. Honestly if it weren't for Sunseri missing more than a month at the beginning of the season, her numbers would be dramatically better.

Next year has some power between Doyle, Sunseri, Clark and Amanda Sanchez

Thats a pretty good foundation right there with Andrews at lead off. Hopefully Antoine can work hard on her bunting and pitch selection, if she can do that, some major stuff is in store for her as well. She did well in conference play and was 3rd on the team in BA.

Schlattman really came on at the end of the season so hopefully we see that consistency next year. Only real question for position players next year is who will win that last OF spot. The two incoming freshmen are pretty talented, Stewart was highly recruited. I imagine we will work everyone and see how they do.

Michael Scott would ask if she plays catcher or infield. Then, ask if she can fit in a row boat.

The new AD at Texas means business it seems, I'll be interested to see the details of his contract.

I thought Oregon just redid his contract not long ago, plus they completed renovated Oregon's softball facilities.

Big 12 won't be only OU anymore.

Didn't I tell you that the new AD at Texas wasn't messing around... going to spend a lot of money improving that shite of a stadium that has less seats than we have season ticket holders...

Don't forget that Amanda played 3B and Shemiah came to us as a 2B. That might be a scenario.. stay tuned

The while conference has been put on notice by this hire... but it also affects the SEC school here in Texas. New stadium or not, Mike White is going to impact A&M in a negative way because of how good of a recruiter and coach he is...

On a lighter note, I will only be paying him a for a tank of gas instead of airfare from Eugene the next time he speaks at my clinic. Lol

You were right!!

Definitely will be something to watch for sure.

I feel like we will be more offensive minded next year as we break in new faces on the mound. I guess if that makes sense

If Clark plays to her capabilities I would be astounded not see her bat somewhere in the lineup too. If she is in, where would that leave Sunseri? It will be an intriguing development for sure.

I will definitely try to attend all the fall scrimmages this fall.
